Women Embezzles Money to Buy Talking Trees

What would you do with $6.9 million you embezzled from your company? Prosecutors allege that Angela Buckborough Platt embezzled $6.9 million dollars from a construction materials company as their bookkeeper. She did buy the typical 104-acre ranch, expensive cars and lavish shopping trips, but she also had some more unusual choices...like a half-dozen talking trees like those in "The Wizard of Oz" just to decorate her house for Halloween as well as a 20-foot-tall smoke-emitting dragon called "The Slayer," which sported hydraulically powered wings and a "booming dragon roar. There was no explanation for the life size ceramic Al Capone they found in her house. Too bad her shopping spree was cut short by a new employee who was hired to assist her.
