It hasn't been a great year for beauty pageant winners, what with Miss USA going into rehab and all that other stuff. Now comes word that the reigning Miss New Jersey may have some "less than flattering" photos out there. (Are they nudes? Topless? Some kind of animal porn?) Ones that someone is using to blackmail her into giving up her crown. An anonymous source sent The DumbassDaily what is purported to be one of the blackmail pictures, this one trying to imply that Amy is actually friends with comedian Carrot Top. The humiliation! Rather than quietly give in to a blackmailer, Amy Polumbo went public yesterday with claims somebody threatened to release embarrassing photos of her if she did not give up her crown.
"It would certainly be easier for me to simply succumb to these unlawful and immoral threats and quietly disappear," the blond beauty declared at a news conference.
While Polumbo, 22, declined to describe the compromising pictures, her lawyer said some were lifted from a private Facebook site by "someone close to Amy" and that the FBI and state authorities have been notified.
"I don't think the photos are that bad," lawyer Anthony Caruso said. "The person who is threatening to expose the photographs apparently feels the pageant people might hold them to a different standard."
Some of the pictures appear to have been doctored and the added captions "are downright disgusting," Caruso said.
