A Boiling Springs High School teacher is out on bond after being arrested charged as part of a sex sting in Spartanburg County.
Scott Waddell is charged with indecent exposure and is out of jail on $5,000 bond.
He was released at about 5:30 a.m. Saturday from the Spartanburg County Detention Center, where he was jailed for about 12 hours. Deputies said that Waddell was arrested after he exposed himself Friday afternoon to an undercover officer during the sting operation near the Milliken Plant on Milliken Road.
Waddell says on his Web site that he teaches broadcast journalism and film literature at Boiling Springs High School.
The site for a gospel singing group of which Waddell is listed as member, also says that he is the visual coordinator for the Boiling Springs Band.

First of all, Scott Waddell does not deserve to be on dumbass.com and to whoever posted this article, I feel sorry for you. Scott Waddell is a good man who made a mistake. He is paying for his mistake and he knows what he did was wrong. This does not make him a bad person and I refuse to allow unintelligent individuals like yourself to degrade him. I'm sure you have made your share of mistakes, as did those 4 other men who were arrested (but nobody seems to care about them)but at least the whole world wasn't dragged into it. His entire life has been changed and he must now begin to rebuild. He is still as talented, kind, generous, and respected as he always was. Those who know and love him still feel that way. For those of you who might read this comment, get a life and have some compassion. Scott has found his forgiveness and salvation in Christ and he will make it through this a stronger person. But all of you who chastise, criticize and degrade him just remember..let he who has not sinned cast the first stone.
Carolinagirl, are you for real? He exposed himself to some one that he thought was a minor. I wonder if he was thinking about God as he was unzipping his pants. I bet the only time that God, his family and his career came to mind was when they were slapping on the cuffs. If he would of gotten away with the act, you really think he would of shared his mistake with the community and asked for forgiveness? I don’t think so.
