Drunk Dad Arrested for Letting 9-Year-Old Drive

Hey! This one practically happened in my backyard and somehow I missed it. Apparently, on Christmas Eve, a Eaton County, Michigan police officer noticed a Dodge Ram pick-up truck driving erratically around 9:30 and pulled the vehicle over. That's when the cop noticed that Jonathan David Olson, 32 was actually sitting between the driver and passenger seats and his 9-year-old son was in the driver's seat. According to the lad, he worked the gas and brakes while dad steered and they had driven nearly seven miles from one relatives house to another on some backwoods dirt roads. The boy told the officer that Olson had him drive because he had been drinking. In addition to drunk driving charges Olson could also face second degree child abuse charges for his actions.
