American Idol Finalist Arrested - Jessica Sierra Accused of Hitting Man With Glass

Another American Idol finalist arrested. No, not that one, the other one. No, not her either. This time it's Jessica Sierra, a finalist from 2005. That's her mug shot at right. Here's more from the Star Phoenix:

Former "American Idol" finalist Jessica Sierra was arrested early Sunday on felony battery charges for allegedly hitting a man on the head with a heavy glass at a cafe, police said.
Sierra, 21, was booked in the Hillsborough County Jail on a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. She was also charged with possession of cocaine and introduction of contraband into a correctional facility after officers found a small amount of the drug while searching her, police spokeswoman Andrea Davis said.
Sierra was released Sunday afternoon on US$11,500 bail. There was no immediate indication if she had a lawyer.

Math Teacher in Trouble for Exposing Himself to Kids on School Bus - Charles Bouma

By all accounts, Charles Bouma was a well-liked 43-year-old, eighth grade math teacher at Argyle Middle School in Silver Spring, MD. That is, until this week when he was driving next to a school bus from another school in his convertible and decided it was time to whip out the old wiener. Here's more from WTOP:

Bouma allegedly exposed himself and engaged in sexual activity while driving in a convertible beside a school bus carrying students from the Academy of the Holy Cross on Monday around 3:15 p.m. near Rockville Pike and Tuckerman Lane, police say.
After the incident, Bouma followed the bus and drove around each side, causing "considerable commotion" on the bus, police say.
The students on the bus were members of the Holy Cross crew team and on their way to practice. The crew team coach wrote down Bouma's license plate and called police to report the incident.
Bouma has been placed on administrative leave, Montgomery County Public School spokesman Brian Edwards says.
"Naturally, this is a very disturbing situation for us," Edwards says. "We will be informing parents of the information we have. If they have any questions, they can speak with the principal about the incident."

Elementary School Principal in Trouble Over Naked MySpace Photo

What is it with people's MySpace page and nudity? Is that a requirement to make a lot of "friends" on the social networking site? If it is, it got this Canadian grade school principal in trouble. More from the Edmondton Sun:

A school principal in the resort town of Harrison Hot Springs is under a cloud after a parent inadvertently discovered a nude photo of him on his family website.
Mark Classen has been suspended with pay by the Fraser-Cascade School District in the Fraser Valley east of Vancouver while it looks into the complaint.
School district chairman Jim Sinclair says Classen has been asked to turn over his home computer to school officials to see if there is any other potentially offensive material on it. Sinclair says the B.C. Principals' and Vice-Principals' Association, which is representing Classen, has advised him not to hand over his personal computer.
The photo was apparently taken several years ago when Classen and his wife visited a nude beach in Australia. A parent found the photo after a link to Classen's family website was inadvertently attached to a reply to an e-mail she sent him about a school matter.

Hugh Grant Arrested for Attacking Photographer With Tub of Baked Beans

Wait, what? Actor Hugh Grant has been arrested and questioned by London police after a photographer accused him of attacking him with . . . a tub of baked beans? Here's more from ABC News:

Photographer Ian Whittaker told the Daily Star that he and Grant, 46, clashed near the home of the "Four Weddings and a Funeral" star.
Whittaker said Grant abused and kicked him on Tuesday before lobbing the beans. The paper printed photos of Grant with a plastic tub of food raised over his head.
Grant's lawyers Schillings said an incident had taken place and was now under investigation.
A police spokeswoman, when asked about the incident, said a 46-year-old man had been arrested on Wednesday evening and questioned at a London police station after an allegation of assault in west London.

"My 16-Year-Old Boyfriend Cheated on Me With Teacher," Woman, 37, Tells Court - Jenine Saville-King Update

What a mess this 16=year-old kid's life is! See if you can follow: His married 29-year-old teacher is on trial for having sex with him, and possibly having his child. A witness for the prosecution is his 37-year-old married, mother of three boss at the grocery store where he worked who tells the court that while the two of them were getting it on, the boy was cheating on her with the teacher, Jenine Saville-King. A boy of 16 having an affair with a 37-year-old mother of three also had sex with one of his teachers, a court heard today.

The woman, a supermarket manager, told St Albans crown court she discovered the boy had twice slept with his teacher, 29-year-old Jenine Saville-King.

The woman alleges that Saville-King telephoned to say she loved the boy and had left her 37-year-old husband Paul. Saville-King, of Hook, Hampshire, denies sexual activity with a child and a breach of trust.

Prosecutors say she began the affair when the boy was 15 and a pupil in a school she was working at in Watford, Hertfordshire.

They say the affair lasted for more than a year and continued after the boy left school and began working in the supermarket. It is also alleged that Saville-King continued the relationship after becoming pregnant and giving birth to her husband's son.

The boy - who is now 18 - cannot be identified for legal reasons.

The woman told jurors that she and the boy are living together and started a relationship in August 2005 after he started working at a kiosk in her supermarket.

Saville-King would "hang around" the supermarket. "(The boy) worked on the kiosk. She (Saville-King) would be loitering, hanging around. Once or twice I saw her talking to him."

The woman said while on holiday in Cyprus in October 2005 she learnt the boy had been texting Saville-King while on holiday.

She called Saville-King."She told me that (the boy) loved her and he was going to be with her. I was quite shocked," said the woman.

"She (Saville-King) told me she had been to hotels with him on the previous two Fridays. It dawned on me that (the boy) and her had cheated on me."

The woman said she later answered a call from Saville-King."She sounded drunk and she said she had left her husband for (the boy) and she loved (him)."

The school head has told the court she was unhappy when Saville-King arrived in a short skirt and tight top which revealed her midriff.

Teacher Arrested for Sexually Suggestive Text Messages Sent to Boy - Rebecca Rogers, Our Saviors Lutheran School

The epidemic of naughty female teachers and underage boys continues. This time at a private religious school in the San Francisco bay area and the female teacher was apparently caught before she could hook up with the young man. Instead, investigators have found some sexually suggestive instant messages. Here's more from Inside Bay Area:

Our Saviors Lutheran School teacher Rebecca Rogers, 24, of San Ramon, was arrested April 17 at the Livermore police department on suspicion of contacting or communicating with a minor for purpose of engaging in certain lewd and lascivious behavior , according to police. She was booked at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin and has been since released on bail.
The Alameda County District Attorney's Office has not yet filed charges, but Rogers has a tentative court date Monday in Alameda County Superior Court in Pleasanton.
Livermore police have been going through Rogers's computer and trying to figure out the extent of the communications, said Lt. Scott Trudeau.
"It's hard to tell," Trudeau said. "We're going through all of the computer evidence (to find out) when it started and how it started and who might have been the one who initiated it." Trudeau said he did not want to comment on whether there was physical relationship.
The school's staff called police April 17 after the parents of a student found instant messages of a sexual nature, according to police.
Dennis Dirks, the school's principal declined comment Tuesday on Rogers or the police investigation.
Rogers began teaching at Our Saviors Lutheran this school year, Trudeau said.
Based on what investigators have recovered from Rogers computer, "She had been extensively communication with the student via instant messaging," a police news release stated. Several of the messages sent to the student from her computer were inappropriate and sexual in nature.

Female Teacher Caught in Back of Van With Boy by Undercover Cops - Janet Hughes, Jackson Middle School

Attention hot teachers: if you're going to have sex with an underage boy in the back of your van in a church parking lot, make sure that undercover cops aren't also meeting there. They get curious when the "van's a rockin'" and they do "come a knockin'". For 32-year-old middle school Janet Hughes, it's not likely a mistake she'll make again . . . if, and when, she gets out of jail. No word on why the 16-year-old boy cops caught her with naked on a blanket in the back of the van was still in middle school, but dumb kids would seem to be the least of the district's problems at this point. Janet Hughes, the business teacher at Jackson Middle School was placed on paid administrative leave while the case is under investigation. Hughes could be released Tuesday evening. Tuesday afternoon, a judge lowered her bond despite concerns from prosecutors that the teacher might try to contact the student she's accused of having sex with.
It wasn't easy to wipe away tears with handcuffs on, Hughes learned in court, Tuesday. The Jackson Middle School teacher tried to hide her face as the judge reviewed her arrest for having sex with a student.
The 32-year-old wife and mother was arrested after two undercover detectives found her in a van in a church parking lot with the 16-year-old male student. The detectives just happened to find them.
"These detectives met in a parking lot to go over a case and they see the van. They walk over there and that's when they discover the sex was about to happen between these two," explained Todd Hutchinson, Titusville Police Department.
The two were found lying on a blanket in the back of the van, in a position detectives said was clear they were about to engage in a sexual activity. When Hughes was taken back to the police station, detectives said she admitted to having sex with the same student in the past.
Hughes has only worked at Jackson Middle School for less than a year, teaching business electives. Before there, she worked at Palm Bay High School.

As usual, police are looking for other victims, so if you're an underage boy in the Titisville, Florida area think you may have accidentally had sex with Janet Hughes, please notify the authorities.

Jorge Arevalo said he was asleep and kept hearing noises but assumed it was his roommate. But then he heard his roommate outside and noises in the house, and called police.
Arevalo said the man had four porn sites minimized on the computer monitor and refused to speak. However, police got him talking and learned he'd left his clothing behind a nearby bar, and explained his injuries by saying he had been in a fight.

Woman Swims Naked in Rome's Trevi Fountain - Roberta, 38

That's what a 38-year-old woman (only identified by police as Roberta) did in Rome's historic Trevi fountain yesterday as the city celebrated its 2760th birthday. An office worker overwhelmed by heat became the centre of attention yesterday after skinny dipping in Rome's historic Trevi fountain.
The 38-year-old identified only as Roberta stunned lookers-on by stripping out of her clothes and swimming several lengths of the fountain before stretching out on the marble plinth at the base of a statue of Neptune.
The fountain was the site where Federico Fellini shot the famous scene featuring Anita Ekberg in La Dolce Vita.
'The water is everyone's. I was hot,' Roberta said after her bathe.
But police took a dim view of her actions and frantically tried to cover her up with their helmets and arrested her.
It is illegal to swim in Rome's fountains can those who break the law could get a fine of £70.

Dancer Arrested at Strip Club Turns Out to Be School Teacher - Marquita Jett

You never know what you're gonna find when you raid a strip in Chattanooga, Tennessee. When cops raided a local gentleman's club over the weekend they found an assortment of criminal violations including: selling liquor without a license, counterfeit money and illegal drugs. Not only that, but the club's operations manager and a club bodyguard were both out of prison on parole. And, one of the strippers was a 15-year-old runaway from Florida. But amongst all that, the top story is the arrest of stripper Marquita Jett (mug shot right) after cops found a gun on her. Apprentice Star Naomi Lay Fears Release of Sex Tape by Ex-Boyfriend

Another Miss Universe Scandal: Topless Photos Found of Miss Australia

Not again! What does Donald Trump have to do to find some young women who aren't boozers or who aren't all naked and stuff. The latest gal to be disqualified from the event comes from Australia. Here's more from Perth Now:

TOPLESS photos and a liking for "kissing girls, and men who can kiss well" has ruled Perth beauty Carly Hanson out of Miss Universe.
Hanson, a former favourite to win, has withdrawn from the contest after it was revealed she had posed topless for men's magazine Ralph.
Ralph magazine has two pictures of Hanson in their "Babes" section, one with the caption: "Perth Hottie Carly Hanson, 20, likes bikinis that show off her breasts, kissing girls, men who can kiss well and sunbathing topless. And that's why we like her."
National event coordinator Grant Good said to be eligible to enter the event, contestants must not have posed nude in photographs or films.
"We've only just found out that she had topless shots in Ralph," Good said. "It's just not suitable. We had that problem with Erin McNaught last year and we can't go through that again."
Last year's Miss Universe Australia winner Erin McNaught was embroiled in controversy after it was revealed she had posed for Zoo magazine. Until then, she had been a favourite to win the title.

Have you ever heard anyone say "I have nothing to wear?" Well, for one Raleigh, North Carolina man that was apparently literally true when he had to pick up his clothes a the dry cleaners. Here's more from WRAL:

A man has been charged with one count of indecent exposure after he went to a Raleigh dry cleaners without pants on.
Police arrested Kenneth Lee Wollen after he allegedly went through the Pope's Cleaners drive-through while not wearing any pants. He said he was there to pick up clothing.
Wollen was charged with one count of indecent exposure.

Canadian Man Marks Hitler's Birthday by Walking Around Naked With Swastika Taped to His Body

Police in Nanaimo, British Columbia, on Canada's Pacific coast, said they were called to the scene by concerned residents, and the man told them he was "honouring Hitler's birthday". He was detained and will undergo a psychiatric assessment.
Hitler was born April 20, 1889.
"Although the swastika symbol causes some concern and is usually associated with hate and the Nazi regime, in this instance this male posed no threat to the community," police said in a news release.

Teacher Ms. Garrison Fired for "Inappropriate Relationship" With Female Student - No, not the one from "South Park"

Fans of the hit animated show "South Park" on Comedy Central know that 4th grade teacher Mr. Garrison first admitted he was gay, then had a sex change operation, then found out he--we mean she--was actually a lesbian. Now comes a strange coincidence: a female teacher in Kansas named Tiffany Garrison has resigned because of an inappropriate relationship with an 18-year-old female student. Spectators burst into applause as the Mulvane School Board voted unanimously to fire a female high school teacher over an inappropriate relationship with an 18-year-old female student.
Tiffany Garrison, 25, had submitted her resignation from Mulvane High School well before Wednesday night’s special school board meeting, but it was not scheduled to take effect until the end of the school year.
Garrison was suspended with pay April 9 when the district started investigating the relationship. Officials in the south-central Kansas district officials have said the relationship did not involve any illegal activity such as alcohol use or anything of a sexual nature.
About 60 people attended the special board meeting, which ended with the vote to fire Garrison for reasons that included insubordination and maintaining a relationship with a student. Garrison, who did not attend the meeting, has 15 days to appeal the dismissal and request a hearing.
The girl’s parents attended the meeting and said they were “elated and relieved” by the board’s decision.
As the board was in executive session discussing the matter, the girl’s mother read the crowd a letter she had sent to board members demanding Garrison’s dismissal.
The letter said e-mails between Garrison and the girl suggested that their relationship involved more than “pure friendship” and that it involved some physical contact.

Teacher Accused of Sex With Boy, Taking Him to Faculty Parties - Judith Wallace

Whatever happened to the idea of teachers and students leading separate lives away from school? Apparently, at D.W. Higgins Charter School in Phoenix, not only was it okay for female teachers to have sex with underage boys, they could also treat them like regular boyfriends and take them around to the homes of other staff members . . . just as if nothing odd was going on. In late January 2006, Maricopa County sheriff's detectives said they learned that a sex crime had occurred between Judith Wallace and a 15-year-old male victim.
The Sheriff's Office Special Victims Unit said they learned during the investigation that the victim had allegedly engaged in a sexual relationship with Wallace and that she had given him alcohol.
The victim also reported that Wallace would frequently take him to parties and social gatherings as a "couple," detectives said.
A witness told detectives that it was common to see the two together outside of school and at other staff member's homes, according to deputies.
The victim, now 16, stated he and Wallace engaged in sexual acts on separate occasions between February 2006 and April 2006.

An Orange County teacher was put on administrative leave, after allegations she was having a sexual relationship with a student. Allison Reopel is also a softball and soccer coach at Oak Ridge High School.

A computer tech allegedly caught Reopel in a sex act with a female student as he walked into a classroom at the school.

It was unclear if the 26-year-old teacher and 18-year-old student were caught during school hours or were alone in the classroom after school. The computer tech who allegedly found them reported the incident, which sparked a full investigation.

Female Teacher Convicted of Having Sex With 2 Boys at Campground After School Dance - Leslie Baird

Well, we suppose if you're going to get arrested, you might as well go down in a blaze of glory . . . like Leslie Baird, 42, a computer lab coordinator (not actually a teacher, but pretty close) at Tooele High School was sentenced to 1 to 15 years in prison for the second-degree felony of having sex with two teenage students after an evening that started out with her chaperoning a school dance. She also happens to be the second female teacher from the school district in the past year to be convicted of such a crime . . . and both time light sentences were handed out. Baird and the boys - who all had been drinking - happened to meet at a Tooele convenience store, then drove to a campground near Rush Lake. Baird had sexual intercourse there with both boys, but not at the same time, Searle said. The sexual liaison occurred following a school dance where Baird had acted as a chaperone, he said. Baird was charged with two counts of first-degree felony forcible sodomy and one count of second-degree felony forcible sexual abuse.
