Teacher Cathryn Bowland, 27, Resigns After Caught Holding Hands With Boy - Vista Ridge High School

"It" apparently happened on a school field trip. Cathryn Bowland, 27, a social studies teacher at Vista Ridge High School, was seen holding hands with a male freshman student. Oh, and also something about an inappropriate conversation that was overheard and ended with her saying "We shouldn't be talking about things like this." That's apparently all it takes anymore. At right, Cathryn Bowland's picture. Here's more from KEYE-TV:
Cathryn Bowland, 27, left Vista Ridge High School last Friday. She had been a teacher since August 2006.
District spokesman Dick Ellis says the incident happened during a school sponsored trip on Jan. 22. He says Bowland was seen by other students holding hands with a freshman student. One of the witnesses also reports hearing an inappropriate conversation between Bowland and the teenage boy.
Ellis said Bowland reportedly put an end to the conversation by saying something like "We shouldn't be talking about things like this."
Once an assistant principal was notified, an investigation began.
