A strip club in Dallas won't be penalized for allowing a 12-year-old runaway to work as a dancer for two weeks in late 2007, the Morning News reports.
"There's a laundry list of things we can use to deny or revoke a license, but having a 12-year-old dancing in their establishment is not one of the things that automatically enables us to revoke their license," police Lt. Christina Smith, who oversees the strip-club permit process, tells the paper.
Two people have been charged with felonies in connection with the sixth-grader's work at Diamonds Cabaret. "Police officials are continuing to investigate whether the club's management knew she was underage," the paper says.

"We swear, she looked 15 to us!" And yet somehow, the Diamonds Cabaret "gentlemen's club" in Dallas will NOT lose their license, even after the cops found a 12-year-old and a 17-year-old working there.
