"Team Mom" Janice Marie Niccoli Arrested for Sex With Basketball Player, 16 - Vacaville, CA
It doesn't exactly count as a female teacher sex scandal, but this one did catch our attention. Not a lot of details (yet) but Janice Marie Niccoli (mug shot picture at right) has been arrested for allegedly having sex with a 16-year-old player on a youth basketball team, when she was a "team mom." That leads us to believe that she may have had a son on the team, although the story doesn't mention that specifically. Also, the math doesn't work in Niccoli's favor, as the charges against her include two felony counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor of more than a 10-year age difference. Sorry folks but I see nothing wrong with that. Had it been a male coach having sex with a young girl then I would say that it is a crime but if it is a female coach or Team Mom then this should be considered as a form of initiation for the boy's manhood. It is about time that the American people accept the facts of life... Loosen up people , nothing bad happened to the boy. This woman should not be ashamed of anything. I guess here in Canada we are little bit more open minded about such matters.

It is that view that places all responsiblity for inappropriate sex on men. How is it ok for a woman to illegally have sex with a minor but a crime for men to do the same. Thats bullshit. Women need to be held accountable to the same degree as men in ALL matters. Statutory rape is statutory rape no matter which gender commits the offense.
