Kelsey Peterson Pleads Guilty to Taking 13 Year Old Student to Mexico To Have Sex With Him

Kelsey Peterson was a teacher in Nebraska before she fled to Mexico with one of her 13 year old students. It seems like she and her attorney knew that she was screwed so she decided to plead guilty in hopes that she would spend less than 10 years in federal prison. At what point did this sound like a good idea? Kidnapping? Sexual assault? Taking a kid over the border?
