A 12-YEAR-OLD girl has been arrested for allegedly driving a stolen car while drunk in the Northern Territory. A police patrol noticed the girl behind the wheel of a sedan turning into the Uniting Church on the corner of Tilston Avenue at the satellite city of Palmerston outside of Darwin about 1.30am (CST) today.
Police said six youths fled from the car into the Palmerston High School when officers approached them. After a short foot chase, four females - aged 12, 14, 15 and 20 - were caught on the school oval. Two others managed to escape, police said.
A 12-year-old girl was identified as the driver of the car and she returned a positive reading when police gave her a roadside breath test. All four were taken to the local police station, where the driver allegedly returned an official blood alcohol content of 0.065 per cent.

Cops Arrest 12-Year-Old Drunk Driver in Stolen Car
Wow! There's a whole lotta stupid to go around here! Then again, this did happen in Australia where underage drinking is as common as a fight breaking out during a hockey game . . . or is it a hockey game breaking out during a fight? Either way, the teens caught in this Northern Territory adventure decided to let the youngest--a 12-year-old--and likely drunkest of them drive. And not just any car, but a STOLEN car that cops saw as it was turning into, of all places, a church parking lot. Here's more from The Australian:
