EARLIER:The one thing I really like about this story is the "before" and "after" pictures of the accused teacher, Autumn Leathers (what a great stripper name, too, eh?). At right Leather's mug shot, and below must be from the school yearbook. Quite a difference, don't you think?
Anyway, the important thing is to know that Ms. Leathers, 24 an English teacher at Mountain Ridge High School in Maryland, was arrested for allegedly having a sexual relationship with one of her 16-year-old students and now faces numerous charges, including child abuse, child sexual abuse, and sex offenses. Officers say they were contacted by a resident, who noticed the student at Leathers’ home several times in the late evening. When he was interviewed by officers, the student told them he and Leathers had a sexual relationship that started in May of this year and continued throughout the summer. Authorities believe all of the sexual activity occurred at Leathers’ home, not in the school. A search warrant was executed at Leathers’ home on Braddock Street in Frostburg Wednesday evening, where police found other evidence that has become part of the investigation.
