Teacher Arrested for Being Drunk in Class, Blew Twice the Legal Limit BAC to Drive - Schallenberger Elementary School in San Jose

The little monsters have only been back in the classroom a couple of weeks and the teachers are already hitting the booze--and HARD! How hard? They're showing up at school drunk.
Apparently at Schallenberger Elementary School in San Jose some teachers became concerned about one of their as-yet-unnamed co-worker who appeared to be inebriated (for those of you in Muncie, that would be drunk, plastered, or smashed). So, they contacted the administration, who called the cops, who showed up only to confirm what everyone already seemed to know: this lady teacher was drunk! According to the cops, more than twice the legal limit to drive of .08% BAC or around .16% . . . which is some pretty good drinking! You don't get that by having a single Bloody Mary before work or a can of beer in the car at lunch.
Regardless of how she got her liquor, this female teacher was charged with a misdemeanor because it's against the law to be under the influence of any intoxicating liquor, drug or controlled substance in a condition that leaves someone unable to exercise care for his or her own safety or the safety of others. Schallenberger is a great school. My two kids go there. One was in the class with this teacher. I'm pleased that the principal has a zero tolerance policy in place. Keep the schools safe for our kids.
