Mom Finds Man, 27, in 14-Year-Old Daughter's Bedroom While She's at School - Eric Gahagen

When you're a mom and you go to clean your teenaged daughter's room, you expect to find dirty clothes on the floor, candy wrappers, and maybe a pack of cigarettes or some weed. But a mother in Bedford, Texas found a lot more in her little girl's room: 27-year-old Eric Gahagen, of Central City, PA who had allegedly driven 1500 miles to have sex with the 14-year-old. According to police, Gahagen told them the two had met online (damn Internet!) and had exchanged text messages since last year, before the two agreed to meet last weekend. At some point, Gahagen allegedly climbed into the girl’s second-floor bedroom window and hid there for more than 24 hours . . . until good old mom walked in on him sleeping in her bed. Cops also say that Gahagen claims he thought the girl was 20, yet failed to say anything when she had to leave for school. High school. Yeah right. At right, Eric Gahagen's mug shot picture. Teacher Melissa R. Moss Arrested for E-mailing Topless Photos of Herself to Student - Barat Academy in Dardenne Prairie

Another female teacher, another cell phone that takes pictures and yet another young boy with a goofy grin on his face. Why? According to police, Melissa R. Moss, 27, a teacher at Barat Academy in Dardenne Prairie (Missouri) took two topless pictures of herself and then e-mailed them to one of her students. (One report claims the boy's parents found the images while spying on his emails.
According to the school board at Barat Academy, Moss no longer works there (hasn't for months) but that does not kept the kids at the school from missing her. According to one report, there's now a Facebook profile called "School Isn't the Same Without Melissa Moss." We bet it's not! At right, the only picture we've been able to find of Melissa R. Moss. Mayor Carmen Kontur-Gronquist Voted Out of Office Over Pictures of Her in Underwear - Arlington, Oregon

What's wrong with having a hot female mayor if you can't oogle her while looking at pictures of her in her underwear online? Nothing, in our opinion, but apparently the folks in Arlington, Oregon don't care for that sort of thing and voted Mayor Carmen Kontur-Gronquist out of office 142 to 139 in a recall effort.
Kontur-Gronquist came under fire after she posted lingerie pics on a fire truck on her MySpace page, but now says she has no regrets about posting the photos, and somehow harbors no hard feelings about the recall. Others say the recall has nothing to do with the racy pictures, but more with the fact that Kontur-Gronquist laid off two employees from the municipal golf course. No, seriously, this is all about golf and has nothing to do with sexy pics. On the positive side, Gronquist is now selling a poster of herself on eBay with a portion of the proceeds going to the Arlington city ambulance company. (KATU)

Jennifer Stroth, 20, Arrested for Stabbing "Boyfriend", 79 - Faces Domestic Violence Charges

Now that's an appropriate mugshot! Looks like the cops just told her how old the dude she was "intimate friends" with was. Surprise!
The really sad part? Even with the stabbing, this guy is seeing more action than you are.

A 20-year-old woman and a 72-year-old man were "intimate friends" until their romance turned to violence, said Denver District Attorney's spokeswoman Lynn Kimbrough.
Jennifer Stroth was arrested on a domestic violence charge Feb. 17 in Loveland.
An investigation turned up evidence of two earlier knife attacks when the couple shared a home in the 4900 block of Raleigh Street in Denver, Kimbrough said. Stroth is accused of stabbing him Feb. 1 and Feb. 16.

Teacher's Aide Abbiejane Swogger Found in Hotel Room With Teens, Beer, Pot, Open Condom Wrapper - Highlands Senior High School

UPDATE: One Time Exotic Dancer Abbiejane Swogger Loses Teacher's Aide Job - And we finally have a picture! Oh, and the cops are saying it was crack cocaine in the hotel room, not just pot, so she's got that going for her.
EARLIER STORY: Sounds like a full night! This one is a little complicated, but we'll see if we can break it down for you: Abbiejane Swogger, 34, is a teacher's aide at Highlands Senior High School in Harrison, PA where her 15-year-old son goes to school. Cops say she allegedly rented a room at the New Kensington Clarion Inn Hotel and when they found her there Friday, she was not alone: Inside the room were two teenaged boys and two girls, some beer, some weed and what appeared to be an open condom wrapper. And all of this happened AFTER rumors began circulating at Higlands that Swogger was having inappropriate relations with some of her son's underage friends, reports that she denies. She claims it's all a big misunderstanding and that she booked the room for herself and some friends . . . and a blind date . . . and the kids just happened to show up. Sure.

Abbiejane Swogger, 34, said rumors already had been circulating through the high school that she was having sex with her son's friends. It is "absolutely not" true, according to Ms. Swogger, but the police finding the boys in Room 107 of New Kensington's Clarion Inn Hotel after spending the night there with her will only fuel those rumors, she acknowledged.

She knows her arrest is going to heap embarrassment on her son at school, Ms. Swogger said.

"I was stupid, very stupid -- I already know I was and I can understand you looking at me wrong," she said. "It's the biggest mistake I ever made in my whole life."

The mother of one of the two 15-year-old girls found in Ms. Swogger's hotel room, however, said she wants for the aide "never to step in a school again." She is eager, she said, to press charges against Ms. Swogger after searching in vain for her daughter all Thursday night, only to have her returned after a night with an open case of beer, several teenage boys and the teacher's aide.

Police said the girls cut class on Thursday and walked to the home of one of the boys in Natrona, where Ms. Swogger picked them up and took them to the hotel room.

Ms. Swogger denies she drove the teenagers to the hotel, saying she rented the room with two female friends in their early 20s and was drinking beer there with them so her sons, ages 12 and 15, wouldn't see her drinking at home. The underage girls and boys, she said, showed up later that evening and refused to leave even after she told them they couldn't stay.

"Maybe the girls are trying to hide something and they are just using me so they don't get into trouble," Ms. Swogger said. "Maybe they were there with somebody they shouldn't have been with."

Her friends, she said, were trying to set her up on a blind date with someone, but the arrangement fell through and "it ended up being all these little kids."

When the police arrived at the Clarion at about noon on Friday, Ms. Swogger was in the lobby, they said. She told officers that no one else was staying with her, but agreed to let them look in her room, where they found the teenagers. Ms. Swogger's son was not among them, although she said she had told him where she was staying and he had stopped by her room the previous evening.

Teacher's Aide Maria R. Commins, 39, Caught in Hotel Room With Boy, 15 - Greenport Elementary School

EARLIER POST: Wow! Another educator caught by a private detective after her husband suspected something was up and had her followed. And follow her he did!
According to police, Maria R. Commins, 39, a teacher's aide at Greenport Elementary School in New York allegedly picked up a 15-year-old student after school, bought him some booze and took him to a Holiday Inn Express. (Cops: "Are you an adult young man? Teen: "No, but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express with my teacher last night!")
Once there, the private detective called the cops who busted in on the lovers. And, according to police, Commins told them the pair were "in love." Which also explains why they reportedly also had had sexual contact at least once previously in Commins' Ford Taurus. To make matters worse, the teen is also a friend of Commin's own son.
Maria Commins is now charged with third-degree rape, endangering the welfare of a child and unlawfully dealing with a child. Neighbors, naturally, were shocked--SHOCKED I TELL YOU!--to hear of her arrest as she was a mother devoted to her children's schooling . . . and, allegedly, in the uh, "education" of other young people. No word on how much the private eye charged or if and when the husband will settle up with him on the bill. Think he should get a bonus?

Teacher Melissa Monroe, 32, Accused of Giving Booze to Boy, 18, Having Sex With Him - Bentonville High School

Another day, another lonely middle school teacher accused of giving alcohol to an male student and then sexing him up. Don't these women visit DumbassDaily and see all of their teaching sisters getting caught? Apparently not. this time we have Melissa Monroe, 32, a math teacher at Bentonville High School in Arkansas who is accused of having sex with a male student, possibly on his 18th birthday, which might save her some jail time, but probably not her job. The whole thing started to unravel when Monroe sent a text message to another teacher on February 14 that said "Help! I've made the worst decision of my life. And I don't know what to do." A 32-year-old female Bentonville High School teacher accused of having sex with a student may have believed the sex was legal because the boy turned 18 that day, according to records filed in the case Wednesday.

Melissa Gayle Monroe of 7 Largley Lane in Bella Vista posted a $5,000 bond Wednesday afternoon for release from the Benton County Jail.

Bentonville police arrested Monroe on Tuesday on charges of second-degree sexual assault and furnishing alcohol to a minor. She is to be arraigned March 31 before Benton County Senior Circuit Judge Tom Keith.

The young man went to her house on a January evening while her husband was out of town, according to a probable cause affidavit submitted by Detective Mark Jordan. The boy later told police they had sex and he stayed the night.

Monroe was suspended with pay from the district, school officials said.

According to the affidavit, Monroe sent a text message to a fellow teacher at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14 that read, "Help! I've made the worst decision of my life. And I don't know what to do." Monroe said that January night she was drinking and texting with a student. She said the student wanted to come over but she told him no. Eventually, he came over and they had sex three times.

The fellow teacher guessed which student.

Later that evening, Monroe texted, "You don't hate me do you?" and "At least he was legal. Haha," the affidavit says.

On Feb. 16, Monroe texted she was going to a birthday party for another student, although the fellow teacher warned her not to go.

Tuesday morning, the fellow teacher went to Principal Steve Jacoby and police were summoned. The student was interviewed and confirmed he had sex with his teacher. The student claimed she invited him over that night and he drank a couple of her beers, the affidavit says.

Monroe initially denied the allegations but then admitted having sex with the student, the affidavit states. Police asked her if the boy forced himself on her, and she said no.

Teacher Natasha L. Sizow Accused of Sending Improper Photos of Herself to Students on Her Cell Phone: "Various Stages of Undress"

This was Natasha L. Sizow's first year at Granby High School in Norfolk, Virginia and likely will be her last after police arrested her this week for allegedly sending improper photos of herself to students via cell phone. The teacher and girls swimming coach was charged with two counts each of indecent liberties and use of a communications device to facilitate crimes against children.
Cops started to investigate after a school resource officer (an in-house cop) heard about the photos and filed a report. The investigation confirmed that someone at Sizow's cell phone number had send photos of her in "various forms of undress" to a couple of students at the school, reportedly one male and one female both 17. Police confiscated Sizow's phone and subsequently found enough evidence on it to arrest. At right, Natasha L. Sizow's mug shot picture.

Sex Offender Tries to Take Girl, 14, to Middle School Dance - Gregory Ray Brooks

It's only February and we may already have one of the finalists for "Dumbass of the Year." How could that be? Try this one: a faculty chaperone at a dance for students at Athens Middle School (Alabama) noticed that the date of one 14-year-old girl looked just a little older than the 17 years he claimed. So they stopped Gregory Ray Brooks at the door and started asking some questions. Brooks took off running to a nearby laundrymat and was later picked up by the local cops who found out that not only was he not 17 (Brooks is actually 25) he also is a REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER having been convicted in May 2004 of first-degree sodomy on an 8-year-old victim.
Apparently he met the 14-year-old through some friends recently and she did not know he was that old or had that conviction in his background.
Mr. Brooks was charged with public intoxication and failure to comply with the community notification act by loitering on school property. At right is his mug shot picture. (Fox News)

Jeni Lee Dinkel Back in Jail: Wife of Former Bengals Linebacker Fails to Complete Sex Offender Treatment

DUMBASSDAILY UPDATE: Last year we reported on the story of Jeni Lee Dinkel, 52, a Hollywood make-up artist and wife of former Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Tom Dinkel, who was sent to jail for having sex with a 15-year-old classmate of her son's at Covington Catholic High School. As part of her probation, Dinkel was supposed to complete some sex offender treatment sessions, allegedly because she was supposed to bring her son along and she didn't want him expoised to the male rapists and other bad people there. Kindergarten Teacher Angela Csader, Pregnant by Boyfriend, 16, Continues to Teach for Six Months - Anthem Elementary School

Knocked up by a teenaged boy and still teaching kindergarten . . . for more than six months? And, while you are trial in a nearby county for having illegal sexual relations with a teenaged boy? How does that happen? No one seems to know for sure, but somehow big bleached blonde teacher Angela Csader pulled it off until January 31 of this year when the Florence Unified School District finally figured out what was going on. For six months, teacher Angela Csader walked into her kindergarten classroom with a secret. The 25-year-old Queen Creek woman was arrested in July on suspicion of having sex with a 16-year-old Gilbert boy - a boy who fathered her child.
Yet officials at Anthem Elementary School and the Florence Unified School District said they knew nothing about it. She continued to teach students during a half-year span when she appeared multiple times before a Maricopa County court and was on supervised release with a curfew.
"Because it was out of our county and jurisdiction, there were limited ways we could find out about it," district spokesman Larry Cline said. "We don't check the Web sites every day for this."
Csader resigned from her job Jan. 31, the day after the district received information from the Arizona Department of Education about child sex charges against her. But the lapse in time between her arrest and the district being notified has raised concerns from district officials and parents.
"I wish to express not only our distress but our commitment to ensuring the safety ... of your children," district Superintendent Gary Nine wrote in a letter to parents. It's not clear why it took so long for the school to learn of Csader's arrest.

Teacher Emily Kate Janes Charged With Sex With Male Student, 18 - Deer Park High School

Another day, another female teacher arrested for having sex with an underage student. This time it's in Texas, where Emily Kate Janes used to teach 11th-grade English at Deer Park High School, her very first teaching job out of college. According to cops, Janes and the young male met last spring when he was a student in her class. According to prosecutors, Janes and the teen allegedly had sexual relationships for about a month starting in late December 2007 and ending only recently. As a result, Emily Kate Janes is charged with having an improper relationship with an 18-year-old student, a second-degree felony, and is out of jail on a $30,000 bond.

Woman on $2500 a Month Disability Somehow Leases $100,000 BMW - Vivian Snyder

Think it's just homes that people spent too much money for during the recent housing boom? Think again! Now comes the story of Vivian Snyder, of Freemont California, who apparently fell in love with a brand new convertible BMW with a MSRP listed at approximately $100,000. The monthly lease payment was "only" $1300 a month. Not bad . . . unless your total income each month is more than a disability check for only $2500. How did Snyder think she could afford such a car and why in the world would BMW of Fremont and BMW Financial Services approve her application? Sounds like everyone got a little excited about closing the deal and may have lied--just a little--on her loan application . . . like stating that she actually made $8600 a month, without any kind of verification. In one of the versions of this story we read, Snyder also stated that she put her entire life savings of $30,000 down on the lease, on a car she can't afford and will lose. Here's more from CBS 5:

Most consumers can't afford it, and neither could Snyder. That's because the monthly lease payment was $1,300. It ate up half her income which was a $2,500 disability check. "I made a mistake by driving off with the car. I thought my situation would change. I thought I'd be able to go back to work soon and make my usual salary. You always hope things will get better. I didn't realize I was getting such a bad deal. They added all these extras knowing it would be difficult for me to make the payments already. I'm greatly embarrassed, I should have looked over the lease better."
Snyder made three unsuccessful attempts to return the car, but the dealership told CBS5 it had no authority to take it back. The lease was already in the hands of the lender BMW Financial. How did the deal even happen? Apparently, her income was inflated by nearly 150%.
According to consumer advocate Rosemary Shahan with Consumers for Auto Reliability and Safety the practice is common. "This is an epidemic of loan applications being falsified," said Shahan. "In fact, the model for the meltdown we're seeing in real estate and home mortgage lending was auto lending."
Snyder's story started like so many others. She went to the dealership which is owned by Autonation, the largest automobile retailer in the country just to look.
She was caught up in the excitement and said she told the salesperson about her $2,500-a month income. But, what ended up on the credit application was the amount she could be making if she was not on disability.
"He (the salesperson) put what he thought I needed to get qualified for the car," according to Vivian. She admitted she signed the lease with an inflated income at $6000 a month.
But CBS5 reviewed the lease application handed to Vivian as she left and compared it to a page from the same multi-layer document she retrieved days later.
Snyder's income had been changed once again - from $6,000 to $8,600, this time without her knowing. An "8" had been placed before the "6" and "0"s tacked at the end. General Manager Larry Long said a salesperson insists he changed the figure while Vivian was present.
"I witnessed that sale. I saw her and congratulated her. She was so thankful. She was so passionate about wanting that car and would have done anything to get that car," Long said. Long directed the blame on the finance company - BMW Financial Services. "It's up to them to look at the credit application and they will see it at face value what the customer puts on paper as to be the truth," Long said.
CBS5 learned BMW Financial Services approved Snyder's lease based on her income stated as $8600. The approval occurred within a two-hour window and proof of income was not necessary.
Martha McKinley, a spokesperson with BMW Financial Services, said, "We have investigated this matter internally, and we are satisfied that BMW Financial Services acted appropriately at all times during the application and credit review process."

Man Trolls Court Website, Posts Bond for Attractive Women, Demands Sex in Return - Jason Lee

Is that so wrong? You're not supposed to troll court websites looking at the mug shots of young women who've been arrested, then offer to post their bail (sometimes as little as $100) in exchange for sex with your and/or your friends? Sounds like a win/win situation . . . or at least it must have for Jason Lee, 28 (not THAT Jason Lee), of Cincinnati, Ohio. And the female judge who found out about his little operation is not to happy about it either. Here's more from WLWT - link includes video clip:

Judge Nadine Allen had Lee taken into custody after a domestic violence suspect told her in court that Lee, sitting in the back of the courtroom, had been having sex with her in exchange for her release on bond. Allen said Lee told her that he was there to collect money owed to him.
“When we think about sex slave rings, we think about Darfur, Sudan, Africa, even Russian situations we've heard about, but this is happening in Hamilton County,” Allen said. The judge said Lee trolled the Hamilton County jail Web site, looking for women. When he found one he wanted, Allen said, Lee would post her bond in exchange for sex. “So here's a guy cruising the Internet to post bond for a stranger, gets her out and she said, the defendant, says he forced her to have sex with his friends,” Allen said.

Lunch Lady Arrested for DUI, Cops Find Bong and Weed in Car - Laurie Kovarie, 51

Working with other people's kids has to be the hardest job in the world. Bad enough if you're a teacher, but how would you like to be a cafeteria worker (aka "the Lunch Lady") and get verbally abused on a daily basis for the rotten food you are forced to serve? It might be enough to turn you to drink, or pot . . . or both. Apparently, that's what might have happened to Laurie Kovarie, 51, of Rangeley, Maine when cops arrived after she reportedly rear-ended a family in their mini-van. But it wouldn't be a Dumbass Daily story if it just ended there, would it? Here's more from the Sun Journal:

Police officer Jared Austin said Tuesday that Kovarie's car struck the back of a minivan driven by Arsenio Mestre, 45, a family doctor from Orlando, Fla., as the two vehicles were traveling down Dallas Hill Road toward the intersection with Route 4. When Austin arrived, he said, he was met by both parties.

It appears she came down the hill and "creamed" the rear end of the minivan as both vehicles were still moving, Austin said. The officer said Mestre told him he believed Kovarie was intoxicated because he could smell alcohol on her.

Austin said he then interviewed Kovarie, whom the officer said works in the cafeteria at Rangeley Lakes Regional School, and asked her several times for her insurance card, but she didn't give it to him. He also smelled alcohol on Kovarie, he said, and asked her how many drinks she had.

Kovarie said she had three drinks, according to the officer. He told her they were going to do a field sobriety test, and they could either do it on the slippery Dallas Hill or go to the police station. She said she wasn't going to do it, he said, and walked back to her car. Austin said he gave her the option two more times and she still refused.

He went back to his cruiser, he said, and he saw Kovarie get out of her car and start walking away. He yelled to her to stop but she kept going, he added, and he had to run after her. "I told her, 'you're not free to go,'" Austin said.

He grabbed her arm and put her under arrest, he said, and then she ripped her arm away. "I had to forcibly put handcuffs on her," Austin said.

When he went back to search the car, he said, he found the insurance card on the passenger seat. He also found a bong full of unburned marijuana on the floor near the gas pedal, Austin said.

Mother Abandons Boy, 3, at St. Louis Mall, Refuses to Pick Him Up From Cops - Shameka Taylor

The Mother of the Year competition for 2008 is heating up early! Among the contenders out of the box early is Shameka Taylor of St. Louis who reportedly not only left her 3-year-old son Cortez at the St. Louis Mills mall in Hazelwood on Saturday, but then refused to come pick the boy up from police. Why? She was afraid she would be arrested and according to some reports is afraid because she already has some outstanding warrants against her. Here's more from Fox News:

Police still want to know why a 3-year-old boy was left alone at a suburban St. Louis shopping mall over the weekend. But by Monday, the child's mother was still refusing to show up and talk with officers.
The boy was discovered by employees around 8:30 p.m. Saturday at NASCAR SpeedPark in the St. Louis Mills mall in Hazelwood, not long before the mall was to close. Mall security searched the area, seeking a parent or guardian but couldn't locate one. They notified Hazelwood police around 9:15 p.m.
The boy told police his name was "Cortez," and officers determined he was 3. But his complete identity was unknown until nearly 21 hours later.
Police circulated his picture to the media, and his aunt called authorities about 6 p.m. Sunday. The aunt verified that she, the boy's mother and a group of children had been at the mall, Hazelwood police Lt. Ken Jewson said.
Soon after that, the mother, identified as 28-year-old Shameka Taylor, phoned police.
"She asked if she would be arrested," Jewson said. Officers told her they wanted questions answered.
But by Monday morning, she still hadn't shown up, and police were searching for her.

Teacher 55, Picks Up Young Man in Bar, Turns Out to Be Student, 17 - Gerald DiPanfilo

Not the best way for a long time teache to be remembered: for going to a bar, allegedly picking up a young man there, taking him home and reportedly paying him for sex, only to find out the boy in question is only 17 and a student at the school. That's what allegedly happened with Gerald DiPanfilo, 55, a teacher at Seminole High School in Florida and now officials there would like to fire him because the think his effectiveness to teach "has been diminished." DiPanfilo, 55, was investigated in July after St. Petersburg police suspected him of having engaged a minor in prostitution, the school documents show. But after the Pinellas-Pasco State Attorney's Office took a look at the case, prosecutors opted not to charge him.
The case was turned over to the Office of Professional Standards, which is the school system's internal affairs division, and DiPanfilo was assigned to the district warehouse during the probe.
According to a St. Petersburg police report, DiPanfilo admitted he met someone at a bar and the two took a cab to DiPanfilo's apartment in St. Petersburg, school documents say. DiPanfilo said that once they reached his apartment, he may have given money to the teen, and the police report goes on in some detail about the sex the two had, the school documents say.
Police identified the 17-year-old as a Pinellas School student, but there is no evidence showing they knew each other before they met at the bar, and DiPanfilo told authorities he had no idea the teen was a minor, school documents say.
The 17-year-old told authorities DiPanfilo gave him money for crack and for sex, school documents show. Though DiPanfilo told St. Petersburg police he may have given the teen money, when DiPanfilo was interviewed by the Office of Professional Standards he said he was unable to recount what happened July 17 because of the amount of alcohol he had consumed, school documents show.

How would you like to be the local reporter who has to call and ask for comments about a sex assault case from Friendswood, Texas, Police Chief Bob Wieners? Try and tell me you could do it with a straight face! Especially in this case where Jill Lewis, reportedly a teacher of journalism, speech and computers at Living Stones Christian School in the little town of Alvin, stands accused of having inappropriate relations with 17-year-old student along a lonely deserted road in December. How did the cops find out about that? Apparently someone called the local CrimeStoppers and reported the incident . . . which makes us think the young lovers were not as alone as they thought that night. Or the kid bragged about it to all his friends . . . one of the two.

Naughty Cops Caught on Tape With Young Woman in Mini Skirt - Elkhart, Indiana

It looks like the start of a "Girls Gone Wild" video with a scantily dressed young woman talking to some men who appear to want to see just a little more skin than she's already showing . . . which is a lot. Only, in this case, this happened in a Elkhart, Indiana police station and the men involved were cops. It all started early Thanksgiving morning when a woman with dark hair, a white shirt, and denim mini skirt and white boots entered the lobby of the Elkhart Police headquarters.
The entire episode was recorded by two separate surveillance cameras, although there was no audio. The woman in question was not under arrest. "She was just waiting on transportation I believe," said Assistant Chief Timothy Balyeat, "she resided in Chicago and was waiting on somebody to come pick her up."
At one point, one of the men working behind the front desk gives the woman a drink.
Not all the friendly gestures were so innocent. At about 4:04 a.m. the woman stepped into a room to the side of the front desk. Through an open door, the security camera shows body contact and inappropriate touching between the woman and at least one police worker. The images indicate that pictures are being taken, and at one point it appears the woman's skirt is pulled up to her waist.
Around 4:15 a.m. the woman climbs onto the counter at the front desk.
At least two of the three males behind the desk appear to take pictures with camera phones. One even walks out from behind the counter and enters the lobby so he can take a picture from behind. "Everybody played their little part. It was just wrong all the way around," said Balyeat.

The judge in this case must not know of the double standard involving female teachers and school sex scandals. Usually then get a slap on the wrist probation, but almost never any jail time . . . unless they are repeat offenders like Pamela Rogers. How did Donna Goebel get five years?

A judge has sentenced a 45-year-old former teacher's aide at a southern New Jersey school to five years in prison for sexually assaulting a male student.  Donna Goebel maintained her innocence during sentencing in court Monday. The 45-year-old Westampton resident expressed "extreme regrets" for what she called an "uncharacteristic situation."
The 16-year-old testified that the two had sex several times in early 2008. The judge said he had great difficulty painting Goebel as a predator because she was in an awful marriage.

Ex-teacher's aide sentenced for teen sex

EARLIER:  Wow! We cover a lot of these teacher sex scandals, but rarely do we have one where the husband of the alleged perpetrator turns her into cops. That's apparently what happened to 43-year-old Donna Goebel, a teacher's aide at a "special needs" school in Westampton, New Jersey. According to police, Goebel's husband found some pictures of the boy at the home he shared with his wife and THEIR two teenaged children, suspected something was fishy and made a report back on January 24. After about a two week investigation, Donna was arrested at their home on Thursday. Wonder if he told her he had gone the cops, or if he just kept quiet and waited for them to show up and arrest her? Either way, must have been an interesting two weeks at the Goebel house.

Goebel, charged with sexual assault, was being held in lieu of $75,000 bail at the county's minimum-security women's facility in Pemberton Township. Under terms of her bail, she cannot have contact with the student, said the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office.
The victim was identified only as a minor who attends the school where Goebel is employed. "None of the assaults occurred on school property," Prosecutor Robert Bernardi said in a statement.   Authorities said a man went to investigators Jan. 24 with suspicions about Goebel's behavior. That prompted an investigation by the prosecutor's office and the Burlington City police department.
Bernardi gave no other details about the case, including the victim's gender, "to maintain the anonymity of the victim and due to the nature of the charges." Goebel is to have an initial court appearance this afternoon in Superior Court in Mount Holly. If convicted, she faces between five and 10 years in state prison.

Basketball Coach Susan Jayne Anderson Accused of Sex With Female Player, 15 - Desert Edge High School

Arizona cops say that Susan Jayne Anderson carried on a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl she coached for several months, starting when the girl was only 15. Police say they have evidence that Anderson and the girl had daily, hourlong phone calls and had exchanged "thousands" of text messages since December. A probable cause statement filed Monday with the Estrella Mountain Justice Court shows Anderson told police she "chose and targeted" the victim because of the girl's low self-esteem.
According to the document:
• Police found phone records that showed the suspect and the victim were having daily, hourlong talks and had exchanged "thousands" of text messages since December. They were also communicating via the social networking Web site myspace.com
• The victim reported the suspect had taken her home after sporting events and practices, and that they had kissed up to four times on those occasions.
• The victim told police she had sexual contact with the suspect on Jan. 20 at the coach's home.
Anderson had coached for Goodyear's Desert Edge since January 2005 and passed a background check when she was hired, according to Eleanor Andersen, an Agua Fria Union High School spokeswoman.

Mom Arrested for DUI: Had Case of Beer Buckled, But Not Baby - Tina Williams

Ah, only February and the Mother of the Year competition is already heating up! This time, it's a woman stopped for erratic driving in St. Augustine, Florida on Super Bowl Sunday. When cops stopped her, the woman--who identified herself as Tina Williamns--told officers she didn't have a license and she was low on gas. At that point the observant cop noticed that not only did Ms. Williams' breath smell like alchohol, but that she had a case of beer neatly buckled in the passenger seat and her 1-year-old in back seat unrestrained. Yeah, even that will get a cop's attention. Oh, and she also had two silver metal pipes in her purse.
Williams will now face charges of driving under the influence, child endangerment, driving without a valid license, running a red light and not having a seatbelt or child restraint. (First Coast News)

Male Teacher, Lee Holmes, Accused of Sex With Teen, Wrecks Car After High Speed Chase Involving Girl's Angry Mother
