Chicago Couple Tasered at Wedding Reception in Michigan - Andy Somora and Anna Pastuszwska

We have to admit, this isn't the first wedding reception that we've heard about where cops had to be called and at least one member of the wedding party had to be tasered . . . usually the groom or best man. But zapping both the groom AND the bride, getting pictures of it, AND finding out that they got tasered AGAIN two days later? That has to be some kind of record for stupidity, even if they were drunk, which--according to police--is very likely at the center of this incident. Andy Somora and Anna Pastuszwska's July 19 wedding reception in tiny Lakeside, Mich., is still the talk of the town after officers from 14 police departments swarmed the art gallery to quell a melee. The groom's father, uncle, aunt and cousin -- several of whom hail from Villa Park and La Grange Park -- also got arrested.

The short version of the story is they didn't want to quit their partying," said Mike Sepic, Berrien County, Mich., chief assistant prosecutor. "If you put this in the class of wedding receptions gone bad, I guess this would take the cake."

And the story didn't end after the reception. Two nights later, the bride and groom were again arrested in Michigan -- and again shocked by a stun gun -- after struggling with police investigating a noise complaint, Sepic said. The groom was charged with pushing his new wife down during that incident, but the charge was later dropped as part of a plea bargain, Sepic said. Wedding photographer Kacper Skowron, a friend of the bride, said the party was "civilized" and "top-notch," with guests from around the country.

Gallery co-owner Tom Burnison, however, said that, fueled by alcohol, it got out of control and potentially dangerous, including when a guest heaved a metal lamp into a plate glass window. "Calling the police was a last resort," Burnison said. When the only local police officer on duty that night arrived, Burnison and his wife asked him to help break up the party because it had gotten "out of hand," with booze, water and broken glass on the floor, Chikaming Township police said. One guest was seen drinking straight out of a vodka bottle, Sepic said.

The officer called for backup and told everyone the party was over. Many guests left, but some refused and began cursing at officers, police said. "Andy got angry and started yelling, 'What are you doing? This is my wedding! You're making my wife cry!' " Skowron said.

"The crowd was trying to hold back the groom from mouthing off more, but finally he broke free, and they had to take him down," Sepic said of police. "He was heading for the officers. . . . Then the bride moved in and tried to interfere." As the newlyweds struggled on the ground, a police officer used a Taser on Somora, 29, police said. Pastuszwska, 28, was holding her new husband tight, and was shocked as well, Skowron and authorities said.

"Role Model" Teacher Laurie Anne Lewis Arrested for Prostution - Cleveland High School

A Cleveland High School teacher was charged with prostitution after meeting a man in an online chat room and soliciting him in a downtown Houston hotel, police told KPRC Local 2 Monday. Police said Laurie Ann Lewis, 38, was arrested Tuesday at the Four Seasons, 1300 Lamar, in an undercover sting.
Investigators said Lewis agreed to meet her client at the hotel as an escort. She was arrested after asking for $300 to perform a sexual act, police said. We opened up a discussion with her in the chat room. She agreed at some point in that discussion for sex for money," said Capt. Bruce Williams of the Houston Police Department. "When she entered the room, the deal was done."
Police would not elaborate on the prostitution sting or on Lewis' alleged role as a prostitute. "I don't know to what extent she did this job. As far as I'm concerned, she's a teacher that got arrested for prostitution. I don't know that she was a career prostitute," Williams said.

Cleveland High School theatre teacher and Student Council sponsor Laurie Anne Lewis was arrested on Tuesday on charges of prostitution in downtown Houston. According to the Houston Police Department, 38-year-old Lewis was arrested in an ongoing undercover operation. Since Lewis' arrest was part of a continuing investigation, the offense report regarding her arrest has not been made public. But Kerry Cowart, the superintendent of Cleveland ISD said he spoke to Lewis on Friday afternoon and confirmed the allegations. Cowart said that when he asked if she was arrested for prostitution, Lewis admitted it was true.

Lewis was immediately placed on paid administrative leave pending resolution of the charges. One teen on the student council describe Lewis as an excellent teacher and that this news surprised everyone. "She was role model to me and I really didn't expect her to do that because she was always on to us and I just thought that she would be different," said Kala Patton, a Junior at Cleveland High School.

High School Teacher, Accused of Sex With Boy 16, Allowed to Keep Working at School Because Mom Was Superintendent - Carrie O'Connor, Dale Clark

Apparently in Georgia it's okay to continue to work as a guidance counselor at Montgomery High School even if you are being investigated by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a student. Well, at least if your mom's the superintend ant. At least, that appears to be the case for Carrie O'Conner who may still be on the payroll at MHS despite being under investigation since March and under a cloud of rumors about an alleged affair since January. What did the school do when they got a hold of these allegations? They transferred the boy, 16, to another school, of course! Here's more from WTOC:

An investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation ended with 34-year-old Carrie O'Connor being arrested and indicted on sexual assault charges involving a 16-year-old student. The arrest happened Monday night, but the investigation started back in March.
Rumors of an affair between the teenage boy and the guidance counselor have been swirling for most of the year and the GBI was called into investigate. Now, some are questioning how the school district has handled the case.
Rumors about the alleged sexual misconduct started to swirl back in January. In March, calls came to WTOC, so we contacted the GBI who said they were investigating and would have something in a week. Four months passed and an arrest happened yesterday. "All we were after was the truth," Posey said.
Posey and many other concerned parents are raising questions since O'Connor is still working at the school. Some think she should have been put on paid leave until the issue is resolved. Instead, according to a letter from principal Smith to the parents of the 16-year-old boy, the student was dismissed from the high school and assigned to a different school to prevent any and all contact between the boy and O'Connor as requested by the GBI.
The parents refused and their lawyers sent a letter back to the principal demanding he be re-instated, which he was the next day. But there's more. The guidance counselor's mother is also the Montgomery County School District superintendent Dale Clark. "Bear in mind the mother-daughter relationship," Posey said. "She cannot come to a just decision on that."

Teacher Caught in "Operation Jail Bait" Used Web Cam to Expose Genitals - Joel Cupps

Teachers just seem to be draw to these online sting operations like a moth to a flame, don't they? You'd think after a while some of them would at least SUSPECT that the 13-year-old girl at the other end of the chat was really a 50-year-old, fat, male cop . . . but no. Here's more on the latest one from Tampa Bay's 10:

Pasco County teacher is behind bars charged with two counts of soliciting sex acts from a minor. The statewide sting called "Operation Jail Bait" used undercover detectives posing as teenagers. According to police, 29-year-old Joel Cupps, who taught third, fourth and fifth grades at Trinity Oaks Elementary School, was caught using a web cam to expose his private parts to a person he believed was a minor.
"We're very shocked and saddened. It was quite a difficult surprise to swallow," said Allison Hoskins, Principal at Trinity Oaks Elementary School. The teacher has since resigned. He taught at the school for two years. He was also a teacher at Chasco Elementary from 2005 - 2006, and Dr. Mary Giella Elementary in 2005.
"He made a full admission to the acts and admitting to communicating to what he believed were children over the internet," said Lt. Mike Baute from the Attorney General's Office.
Citrus and Pasco County detectives worked on the sting after they realized they were investigating the same person. "They just surrounded the house, came from the back and front, pulled up in a garbage truck and everything. There were just officers everywhere," said neighbor Isaac Rios, who witnessed police raiding Cupp's New Port Ritchey home on Thursday morning.

Teacher Maggie Laughlin, 23, Arrested for Alleged Sexual Relationship With 9th Grade Boy

UPDATE: Maggie Laughlin pleaded guilty on August 13 to having illegal sexual conduct with a student this year and faces up to 18 months in prison when she is sentenced later this month. (Cleveland.com)
EARLIER STORY: The school year can't end soon enough for some principals, can it? According to police the last two weeks of school at Shore Junior High School in Mentor, Ohio were pretty special for one 15-year-old boy in first year teacher Maggie Laughlin's math class. Authorities claim sex acts between the two took place each morning--8 to 10 times during the last two weeks of class--in her room before school started just before school got out in early June. Who blew the whistle? Sounds like the mother of the victim's ex-girlfriend. Hell hath no fury like a 9th grade girl scorned. Oh, and Laughlin might have gotten away with it because she wasn't coming back next year to Shore: she was moving to Michigan this summer with her fiancé to take a new job and plan a July wedding. Oops. That's likely going to be postponed 5-6 years.

Maggie Laughlin, 23, entered no plea at her arraignment in Mentor Municipal Court and was taken to the Lake County Jail. She faces one count of sexual battery and one count of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

Bond was set at $200,000 or $100,000 for each count. Laughlin will have to post 10 percent. If convicted, she could face up to six and a half years in prison.

School officials say Laughlin resigned her position with the district on June 6 after spending less than a year in the school system. Mentor Police Chief Dan Llewellyn said that, when arrested at her Willowick home Wednesday night, Laughlin admitted to some of the details of the charges against her.

Laughlin had accepted a new teaching position in Michigan where she planned to move with her fiancé after a planned July wedding.

Female Teacher, 39, Accused of Sex With Boy, 17 - Kelly Bartz, Rocky Mount High School

School's out for summer, but that doesn't keep the cops from investigating all the alleged teacher/student hook-ups during the past academic year. In fact, the police are probably glad to have the extra time to work on the backlog of complaints. This time we have a rather attractive 39-year-old, Kelly Bartz, an English teacher at Rocky Mount High School. She's been arrested on charges of sexual activity with a student by a teacher. (Could you have "sexual activity with a student by another student?) Most interesting part of the story appears to be that the "victim" in question here reportedly told his mother back on December of 2007 that he was dating a teacher but she brushed it off as a joke. Ha, ha, ha. Yeah, that makes sense to everyone, doesn't it? At right, Kelly Bartz' mug shot picture.

The mother of the Rocky Mount High student said she believes the relationship between Bartz and her son began early in the school year when her son was still 17. The mother said her son mentioned around December that he was seeing a teacher, but she brushed it off as a joke. Then she began to notice changes in her son's grades and sports, she said.
"I feel that because of (Bartz's) actions it has caused him to fall back, and he didn't pass his grades," the mother said, adding she didn't know if her son would enroll at Rocky Mount High during the upcoming school year. "This has caused a tremendous amount of stress on the whole entire family, and I feel like his downfall is because of this whole situation."
The mother said she approached Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services Tommy Finch about the situation in May or June. The central office told her they would take action after Bartz was charged, the mother said.

Florida Grandmother Arrested For Letting 3-Year-Old Ride on Roof of Lexus - Brenda Bouschet, Lake Worth

The competition for "Grandmother of the Year" is heating up and Florida seems to be producing a bumper crop of finalists in 2008. The latest is Brenda Bouschet, 54, of Lake Worth, Florida (that's her "What the f*ck do you want?" mug shot picture at right) who was just minding her own business, driving around the parking lot of a local Publix supermarket Tuesday with her 3-year-old granddaughter, when the police decided to pull her over. Why, was the kid not buckled or something? Actually, was she not only NOT buckled, she wasn't even INSIDE THE CAR. That's right, grandma had her on the roof, although she claims to have been driving at a snails pace and--wait for it--holding onto the kid's leg. What's the big deal officer? Don't you have REAL crimes to investigate? From the police report, it even sounds like she was SOBER when this happened, which otherwise could have been a good excuse for such creative stupidity. About the only explanation Bouschet could give the cops is she wanted the kid to have some fun and get some fresh air . . . a trip to the emergency room was just a bonus, I guess.

Monroe County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to the Publix supermarket Tuesday and arrested 54-year-old Brenda Bouschet, of Lake Worth, after she was spotted driving around with her three-year-old granddaughter on the roof of her car.
Bouschet told deputies she didn't understand why she was wrong to place the 3-year-old girl on the roof of the car and drive her white 2006 Lexus around the parking lot. Bouschet said she was just giving the child some air and letting her have fun.
Deputies had to explain to her the dangers of letting the child ride on top of the car and even had to explain that the child is required to sit in a car seat.
Bouschet said Thursday she would never let anything hurt her granddaughter. She says she was driving at "snail-speed" and holding the child's leg.

Teacher Melissa Lavender Accused of Fondling Two Male Students on a Boat - South Lake High School

A "culinary arts" teacher accused of fondling a couple of high school boys on their parents boat during a party? You have to think that alcohol may have been involved, right? That's what cops think happened with Melissa Lavender, 33, who was arraigned this week on two charges of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct. Maybe her defense can be that she was looking for bait? St. Clair Shores Police Detective Harold Bergeron said a teen who witnessed the June 26 sex acts came forward last week. Police interviewed the partygoers -- three females and five males, several of whom were teenagers -- who said they drank alcohol with the teacher and saw her inappropriately touch two current students, ages 16 and 17. The boat was docked in a St. Clair Shores marina, Bergeron said.
Michigan's age of consent is 16, but a state statute makes it illegal for a teacher to engage in sex acts with a student, no matter the student's age. The charges are misdemeanors punishable by up to two years in prison. Dennis waived the formal arraignment in 40th District Court in St. Clair Shores. He said Lavender has strong backing in the community and that some members of the school board attended the morning arraignment.

Female Teacher Accused of Sex With Middle School Boy, Also Bought Him Shoes! - Tara Allison Hodge

Now they've gone too far! We have gotten used to female middle school teachers having sex with underage boys, sometimes even smoking and drinking with them. But buying them shoes? How dare you! This latest case involves a special ed teacher, Tara Allison Hodge, from the Waco Independent School District in Texas who was arrested this week for allegedly having sex and smoking marijuana with a 14-year-old student. Warrants had been issued for 26 year old Tara Allison Hodges of Katy for Sexual Assault of a Child and Improper Relationship Between Educator and Student.
The investigation into the alleged relationship started after the 26 year old teacher filed a false report of a sexual assault. Waco police say detectives then found that Hodges had been involved in a sexual relationship with a 14 year-old student while she was employed as a teacher for Waco I.S.D.
According to the arrest affidavit, the relationship started on June 6, 2008. The affidavit says Hodges picked the victim up in her car that evening, drove him to her apartment, and then the two smoked marijuana. After that Hodges allegedly performed oral sex on the student before having sex with him.
The two had sex at least ten separate times, and during several of these times they smoked marijuana, the affidavit says. Police say Hodges gave the student money, and on two occasions bought him shoes.

UPDATE: DISTURBING NEW DETAILS EMERGE! Senior Cheerleader Allegedly Crapped in Her Pants, Put it On Victims Head and Breasts Were Flicked! - Well, now we apparently know the answer to the fill-in-the-blank question we posed when this story first broke: it's DEFICATED in her pants! And to make matters worse, the younger girls on the Morton Rank High School Junior Varsity Cheerleading Squad allegedly also had their breasts "flicked." Not sure of the purpose of that, but my guess is is must hurt, or at least be annoying. These latest reports come from the parents of one of the victims exclusively to the local paper, Fort Bend Now, and are in sharp contrast to some of the comments we have received below which seem to indicate that nothing really happened (a common response from friends of attackers in high school hazing cases) or that the whole thing was being blown out of proportion. In an exclusive interview with FortBendNow this weekend, family members of one of the junior varsity cheerleaders disclosed that the younger girls were subjected to humiliation that included having underwear covered in feces pulled over their heads and having their breasts “flicked.”
The mother of the junior varsity cheerleader said parents were all informed in advance that the older girls would pick up their JV counterparts and take them to breakfast.“It’s apparently something of a tradition, an initiation where the older girls come and get the JV girls around four in the morning and take them to breakfast. That’s what (all the parents) were told and what we approved of,” the mother said. “We knew nothing about duct tape and tossing them into swimming pools.”
The mother went on to say her daughter told her that at least one of the senior cheerleaders defecated in her underwear and placed the soiled garment on another girl’s head before tossing her into the pool. She also said some of the varsity cheerleaders “flicked” the younger girls’ breasts with their fingers.
“The (feces) in the underwear is just plain disgusting and, as far as I’m concerned, nobody has the right to touch a girl’s breasts, even in fun,” the girl’s father added. “This thing sounds like it was completely out of hand. We’re just lucky nobody got hurt.”

EARLIER REPORT: HS Cheerleader Hazing Match Game: "When a Girl BLANKS in Her Pants and Puts Her Pants on Another Girl's Head, That's Just Disgusting" - So far, readers who are playing along with the home version of our game have suggested: "poops", "pees", and "makes Margaritas" but for some reason officials at Morton Rank High School in Katy, Texas aren't laughing. That soon to be famous quote comes from the older sister of a JV cheerleader at the school. She claims that the seniors on the squad may have gone a bit too far in this year's initiation of the new girls.
How far off course? Well, traditionally, the upperclassman "kidnap" the junior varsity squad very early in the morning and take them to breakfast. This year? In addition to the mysterious party held in one girl's pants, the seniors (14 varsity cheerleaders, a student manager and--I'm not making this up!--the school mascot) allegedly duct taped the younger girls hands, blindfolded them and, uh, tossed them into a swimming pool. (How is that even close to taking them out for a nice breakfast at Denny's?.)
The mother of one of the alleged victims also confirmed that report to the local TV station. For their part, the Katy ISD claims that it's ". . . investigating an alleged off-campus incident possibly involving inappropriate behavior by certain students." Right now the Morton Ranch squad is at Texas A&M at cheer camp, so if you live in that area of the state, you may want to watch out for someone putting their soiled pants on your head . . . even if they are filled with Margaritas.(ABC 13 - link includes video clip!)

Teacher and Girlfriend--a Former Student--Plead Guilty to Sex With Current Student

Wow! Two teacher three-ways in a single day! What are the odds of that? I'm no math teacher (although it might help in the bedroom) but there would seem to be astronomical odds against such a thing happening. Then again, who would have guessed that teachers would be getting arrested on a daily basis for having sex with underage students? Either way, the folks down in Australia are having a field day over this latest report which has lots of, uh, interesting details. Here's more from Live News:

A Perth teacher has pleaded guilty to having sex with two of his students, including having a threesome with a student and his girlfriend, who was also a former student of his.
Brett Rodney Daley, 34, who was a teacher at Manjimup Senior High School, south of Perth, has pleaded guilty to charges of having sex with a child aged between 13 and 16 and having sex with a girl aged 16 years or over who was in his care.
Standing close to Daley in Perth's District Court today was his girlfriend at the time of the alleged offences, Natasha Charmaine Krispyn.
Krispyn, now 21, who was a former student of Daley's, has pleaded guilty to having oral sex with the younger of the two students with whom Daley had relationships.
The court heard that on March 17, 2006, Daley was alone with a 16-year-old student in a room inside the school's gymnasium when he suggested they have intercourse.
State prosecutor Gary Huggins said he locked the doors, placed her on the ground, pushed her underwear down and proceeded to have sex with her. He did not use a condom and did not ejaculate. The two then had sex in and around Manjimup at various locations including a shooting range, a picnic spot and at his house.
One of the sex acts happened after the high school ball, when Daley sent a text message to the complainant to tell her how good she looked.
The second complainant against Daley was the younger girl, a member of a sports team and a friend of Krispyn. The court heard that Daley and Krispyn had entered a room where the girl was lying down and got into bed with her. They began having sex with each other and Daley had sex with the girl while Krispyn was still in the bed, the court heard. Mr Huggins said it was on a later occasion that Krispyn had oral sex with the girl, which led to the single charge against her.

Hot Teacher and Husband Accused of Recruiting Teen for Threesome - Amy Northcutt, Justin Northcutt

Apparently being young, good looking, and fully employed is not enough anymore. It now appears that the only way to have any fun in life is to get a high school girl to join in the fun. At least that's what Amy Northcutt, 26, and Justin Northcutt, 27, two former Turlock Christian School teachers are accused of doing. Amy, pictured right, and her hubby have been arrested after reportedly sending text messages and photos to arrange group sex with a 16-year-old girl. Here's more from Modesto Bee:

Two former Turlock Christian School teachers accused of sending sexually explicit cell phone messages to a 16-year-old female student will face criminal charges, the Stanislaus County district attorney's office said Tuesday.
The suspects -- Amy Northcutt, 26, and Justin Northcutt, 27 -- are married. They were arrested in early June, shortly after the school year ended. They are accused of sending messages and photos to arrange group sex with the girl, said Sheriff's Department spokesman Royjindar Singh.
The district attorney's office could not specify what charges they will face, and the court did not yet have information Tuesday on the charges.
The Northcutts were arrested June 2 on suspicion of distribution or exhibition of lewd material to a minor and annoying or molesting a child under 18, Singh said. They could not be reached for comment Tuesday.
Amy Northcutt was the girl's high school teacher, Singh said. She taught history and had submitted her resignation a month before school ended in late May, according to Mayer. Justin Northcutt was a substitute teacher at Turlock Christian's junior high and high schools, he said.
The girl's mother contacted authorities after Justin Northcutt was spotted talking to the alleged victim while she attended a family gathering in Denair, Singh said. The arrests came days later.

'Voodoo Rapist' Gets 8 Years in Prison for Tricking Underage Girls Into Having Sex With Him

Seems like a simple enough scam: convince people you practice the ancient art of voo-doo. Then, when you're in the mood for sex, convince underage girls that bad things will happen to them--via vooddoo, of course--if they DON'T have sex with you. Brilliant, huh? Oh, and you don't have to move to some third-world country for this scam: chicks in New York will apparently fall for it. Here's more from Fox News:

A 51-year-old New Yorker who claimed to practice Voodoo has been sentenced to eight years in prison after telling underage girls that bad things would happen if they refused to have sex with him. Hector Aviles of Yonkers had pleaded guilty to second-degree rape.
Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore says Aviles told three girls, ages 16 and 14, that he could help them with such problems as boys and parents if they engaged in a sexual "ritual" with him. He warned that if they backed out, he would make bad things happen to them and their relatives.

Babysitter Accused of Having Sex With Boy, 14, She Was Watching - Annette Martinez

Well, it looks like it's not just the female teachers who are having all the fun anymore: now we have a babysitter who likes her men young. And to top things off with a cherry, comes word that she may also be pregnant with his child, and that they both wanted her to get pregnant! At right, Annette Martinez' mug shot picture.

The Las Cruces baby sitter arrested Tuesday on allegations she had sex with a 14-year-old boy and may now be pregnant has been hit with additional charges.
Annette Martinez, 25, had been charged with one count of fourth-degree criminal sexual penetration of a minor. Police announced Wednesday that 19 additional fourth-degree penetration counts had been added.
According to a criminal complaint filed in state Magistrate Court in Las Cruces, Martinez admitted to starting a relationship with the teen on July 8. She had baby-sat for the family since June 1.
She told police she may now be pregnant by the teen, who she said she first thought was 16 years old. Records state that Martinez was in love with the boy and wanted to have his baby. She told police that the teen felt the same way.
"... (S)he has never met anyone that makes her feel the way he does," according to Martinez's statements to detectives.

Man Arrested for DUI on Golf Cart, Had Loaded Gun & Meth on Him

Not a whole lot to report on this story beyond what was in the headline, but it still makes me laugh. Kentucky State Police (not just the local sheriff or something) arrested Brian Scott, 36, of Graham while driving a golf cart in Muhlenberg County when he appeared to be intoxicated. Hot Teacher's Aide Melody Ybona Gawliu Pleads Guilty to Sex With Girl, 16 - El Camino High School

If you're a teacher, you can be sneaky about your affair with an underage student, or you can be like counselor Melody Ybona Gawliu and make it easy for the cops. How? According to authorities, other teachers at El Camino High School in South San Francisco, California reported Gawliu, 24, after she reportedly brought balloons to school for the girl’s 17th birthday. When police investigated, also found nude photos of the girl on Gawliu’s phone as well as a text message from the budding teacher's aide telling the girl to tell authorities that nothing happened between them. With that much evidence against her, Gawliu pleaded no contest to one count of oral copulation with a minor in return for no more than a year in jail. On the plus side, she will not have to register as a sex offender, but should be considered "hot and dangerous." (Okay, we made that last part up, but from the picture it seems like a logical conclusion.)

Woman Accused of Videotaping Sex Acts With Dog - Diane Sue Whalen

And the Dumbass Daily Freak Show continues. This time, our carnival of horrors takes a road trip to Tulsa, Oklahoma where police have charged a 54-year-old woman (she should really know better by that age) with committing felony crimes against nature was arrested this morning after police were notified of more than 150 homemade movies of her engaging in various sex acts . . . with dogs. No, not really ugly guys, but actual furry, four-legged animals that most people keep as pets and love like their own children. Here's more from News OK:

Donald Roy Seigfried, 55 and Diane Sue Whalen, 54, were charged with the crime, which deals with bestiality. Whalen, 54, was arrested this morning and booked into the Tulsa County Jail. Seigfried, whom police describe as her partner in the movie productions, was arrested and released on a $10,000 bond Tuesday.
Authorities were notified of the tapes after Whalen’s son accidentally stumbled onto one of the movies and then alerted the sheriff's department.
The tapes, along with three dogs -- a Labrador, a blue heeler and a mixed breed -- were also taken into custody. Bowman said his office is recommending that they be taken away from the suspects and be put down.

Hey, that last one sounds like fun! At least it must have to one Keri Michele Blackwood, 39, who now faces charges of disorderly conduct, felony second-degree recklessly endangering safety and resisting an officer. We'll let the Wisconsin News tell the full story:

The charges stem from an incident during the early morning hours of July 24 at the park's Quartzite Campground, according to court records.
At about 2:30 a.m., Sauk County deputies were called to the park, where Blackwood's 15-year-old daughter said Blackwood got drunk and began yelling at her, according to court records. At one point Blackwood got into her SUV and drove at the girl, who said she would have been hit if she had not moved out of the way, according to the court records.
The deputies wrote that Blackwood also resisted attempts to take her into custody, records show. Second-degree recklessly endangering safety carries a maximum penalty of a $25,000 fine and 10 years in prison.

If true, this is one of our first double dumbasses of 2008. You know, some people just don't know when to quit, do they?
See if you can see the flaw in the plan here: Laura Kathleen Cantrell is a slightly chubby, blonde, 40-year-old librarian at Harrah Junior High School in Oklahoma. She went to a school resource officer (cop who's stuck at the school all day) to report that a 15-year-old boy was trying to extort $50 from her. How? Reportedly he was going to tell authorities that she was having sex with a student--HIM! Well, of course, that lead to an investigation of her and now charges have been filed in the case with Laura Kathleen Cantrell, a mother of two, face charges of second-degree rape and oral sodomy. At right, Laura Kathleen Cantrell, picture as she walks out of court after her hearing this week on the charges.

Defense attorney Mickey Homsey said the teen has given authorities several different accounts of his relationship with Cantrell, who was suspended from her position as a media aide at Harrah Junior High School after the allegations came to light in January. She resigned in May after school officials recommended firing her.
Cantrell, a 40-year-old mother of two, surrendered to authorities Monday to face charges of second-degree rape and oral sodomy. She is accused of having sex with the teen at her Harrah home in 2006. Cantrell was released from the Oklahoma County jail after posting $15,000 bail.
Homsey said she has no history of problems in more than 10 years as a school employee. He said the charges against her are the result of authorities taking snippets of her words and actions to support the teenager's claims.
The 15-page affidavit prepared by a Harrah police detective chronicles an investigation into other allegations against Cantrell over the past few years, but most were unsubstantiated.

Man Claims to Be "Underwear Measurer" So He Can Inappropriately Touch Children - Ben Hawkins

Now THAT takes some balls! This guy actually gets parents to bring their children to him under the guise that he is doing some kind of "market research" then pulls out a tape measurer and starts to touch them in all sorts of bad places--allegedly. Here's more from the Cincinnati Enquirer:

"This pervert needs to be removed from society forever," Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters said. Hawkins was arrested and charged with one count of gross sexual imposition - sexual touching - and one charge of attempted gross sexual imposition. Other charges are expected. Deters said Hawkins' victims come from three families and range in age from 9 to 13.
Hawkins, of Springfield Township, is accused of passing himself off as a market researcher, using the names of two companies - one fictitious, the other a real Cincinnati company. Contacts would be made with parents after Hawkins took out ads in a Cincinnati weekly alternative newspaper or when he responded to parents' ads for in-home child care. Those interested could respond to Hawkins' e-mail address, which he gave as "cincyteensandtweens."
Hawkins, Deters said, would arrange to meet the parents and their children at public places to deflect suspicion. Hawkins is accused of meeting families at Roger Bacon High in St. Bernard, Mercy Franciscan Hospital in Mount Airy and even in some of the children's homes. Once he met the families, Hawkins persuaded the parents he needed to be alone with the children for the research. Hawkins allegedly told the children he needed to measure them for underwear, a ruse to sexually touch them, Deters said.
"This was done for the purpose of his own sexual gratification," Deters said. "We think there are going to be other victims here."

Rebecca A. Harris, 35, Faces 44 Counts for Alleged Sex With Boys, 9 and 7 - Dover, Delaware

Wow, just wow. This is a low point, ever for this site. But is such a dumbass story (and we think you'll be hearing more about it) that we thought we should share it with you. At right, Rebecca A. Harris' picture, likely from her driver's license as it does not appear to be a mug shot. If it is, she's creepier than we thought. Here's about all we know so far about Ms. Harris from WBOC-TV:

Dover police say Rebecca A. Harris was arrested Tuesday after the two children, ages 9 and 7, disclosed the alleged abuse. Working in conjunction with the Division of Family Services, Dover police detectives were able to obtain information which led Harris' arrest.
Harris was charged with 30 counts of second-degree rape, 10 counts of first-degree unlawful sexual contact, two counts of continuous sexual abuse of a child and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child

Female Teacher, Leanne Elizabeth Macklin, Charged With Sex With Student - Weaver Academy

Today is what, Thursday? Let me check my watch . . . yep, time for another female teacher to be arrested for allegedly having sex with an underage student. Not a lot of details on this one, but we do know that Leanne Elizabeth Macklin, 26, was a drama teacher at Weaver Academy and is accused of having a relationship with a 17-year-old male. Specofically, Macklin is accused of having oral sex several times with a male student at her apartment, according to court records. At right, her mug shot picture. Here's more from The News Record:

The alleged incidents occurred between July 2007 and November 2007, according to court documents.
Macklin turned herself in at the Guilford County Magistrate’s office, police said.
She was charged with five felony counts of sexual activity with a student by a teacher and was released after posting a $25,000 bond, according to officials at the Guilford County jail.
The police investigation began July 1 when the student’s parents told investigators that they believed their son was having an inappropriate relationship with a teacher, according to court documents.
The student’s parents also had letters from Macklin to their son containing statements such as, “You made me feel needed and trusted and loved,” according to a search warrant application returned July 11. Macklin allegedly told the student she wrote about him in her journal, the document states.
Investigators seized documents, cards, IDs and a 2008 yearbook from Macklin’s apartment, the search application said.

The best part of the story though, is some of the comments people are leaving at other sites reporting on the story.

It's about time something was done about this situation. I have children who attended Weaver. This affair has been going on since 2006 with this same child. The teacher would take him out of other teacher's classes using some pretext to speak with him. She constantly text him and other students during school. She had relationships with other students outside school. Including allowing underage drinking at her residence. This information has been presented to the leadership staff at Weaver by students, parents and other teachers. My question is why did it take so long for action to be taken to stop this behavior? Weaver Academy is a small school. She took no actions to hide her inappropriate behavior with the students. She obviously had behavioral issues that should have been addressed a long time ago. It's a shame it was allowed to go this far. I feel her behavior has cast a shadow on a wonderful school with very dedicated and caring teachers. Weaver strives to create an atmosphere of acceptance for all students. Hopefully this regretful situation will not deter future students from applying to this magnet program which in my opinion is one of the true bright spots in all of the high school options in Guilford County.

I am a graduate of Weaver Academy, and have found Leanne Macklin incompetent, sniveling and pathetic since the day she came through the door. She has done everything imaginable to demonstrate her ineptitude as an educator, as well as a general lack of maturity. In my senior year, I personally sat down with the principal of the school and Macklin for a long meeting pointing out to both of them why Macklin was a complete failure both as a drama teacher and as a mentor to her students. I specifically mentioned the suspicion over her relationship with the student involved, among other concerns. The principal had not only heard of it, but was well aware of how serious rumors were - in scope and in content. As someone who never observed the interactions firsthand, all I could speak on was the nature of the gossip, and my personal belief that it was absolutely true. If you didn't/don't go to Weaver, you can't understand how quickly word travels. EVERYONE - including the administration - knew what was going on. The relationship, as well as Macklin, was the running joke among faculty and students. However, I was not capable of presenting concrete evidence to the principal, let alone go to the police with my suspicions. As a student, I wasn't sure if it was my duty to act. However, as the administration was well-informed, the sluggishness in getting the truth is unacceptable. Admittedly, I may have failed to act as I should have, but, I must say, I am utterly relieved that Macklin will be punished for her behavior. Good riddance from a giddy Alumnus.

National Enquirer: John Edwards Caught With Mistress Rielle Hunter and Love Child at Hotel - Woof!

Not only does it appear--according to the National Enquirer--that Senator John Edwards (a top contender for the Obama vice presidential nod) cheats on his wife, he does it with a woman who's not even as pretty as he is! Our evidence? At right, a picture of the alleged other woman, Rielle Hunter, a self-described filmmaker whose company was hired by a pro-Edwards group and paid $114,000 to produce videos for his campaign and worked closely with him. Apparently so closely that his DNA jumped into her uterous and fertilized one of her eggs!
This isn't the first report of Edwards and Hunter: back in December of 2007, the National Enquirer first reported their affair and claimed The Pretty Boy was the father of her unborn child. That is, until a married campaign aide of Edwards came forward and claimed HE was actually the father . . . which threw the mainstream media off the track for a while. But, apparently Johnny couldn't keep it in his pants and decided to meet up with Hunter at Beverly Hilton on Monday night, July 21. We'll let the National Enquirer tell the rest of the story:

Vice Presidential candidate Sen. John Edwards was caught visiting his mistress and secret love child at 2:40 this morning in a Los Angeles hotel by the NATIONAL ENQUIRER.
The married ex-senator from North Carolina - whose wife Elizabeth continues to battle cancer -- met with his mistress, blonde divorcée Rielle Hunter, at the Beverly Hilton on Monday night, July 21 - and the NATIONAL ENQUIRER was there! He didn't leave until early the next morning.
Rielle had driven to Los Angeles from Santa Barbara with a male friend for the rendezvous with Edwards. The former senator attended a press event Monday afternoon with L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa on the topic of how to combat homelessness.
But a months-long NATIONAL ENQUIRER investigation had yielded information that Rielle and Edwards, 54, had arranged to secretly meet afterward and for the ex-senator to spend some time with both his mistress and the love child who he refuses to publicly acknowledge as his own.
Senior NATIONAL ENQUIRER Reporter Alexander Hitchen asked Edwards why he was visiting Rielle and whether he was ready to confirm that he was the father of her baby.
Shocked to see a reporter, and without saying anything, Edwards ran up the stairs leading from the hotel basement to the lobby. But, spotting a photographer, he doubled back into the basement. As he emerged from the stairwell, reporter Butterfield questioned him about his hookup with Rielle.
Edwards did not answer and then ran into a nearby restroom. He stayed inside for about 15 minutes, refusing to answer questions from the NATIONAL ENQUIRER about what he was doing in the hotel. A group of hotel security men eventually escorted him from the men's room, while preventing the NATIONAL ENQUIRER reporters from following him out of the hotel.
Said reporter Hitchen: "After we confronted him about seeing Rielle, Edwards looked like a deer caught in headlights!

Former Teacher Heather Kennedy, Awaiting Sentencing for Sex With Boy, Caught Having Sex With Him Again!

Some people just don't learn! Take former former Wantagh high school teacher Heather Kennedy. Heather was caught earlier this year having some sexy time with a 16-year-old student. She pleaded guilty to sexual misconduct back on June 12 and was out on probation, awaiting sentencing in August. But apparently she couldn't scratch her itch with someone of legal age and was caught AGAIN having sex with the same boy. According to the victim, they've done it six times since June 12, in clear violation of the boy's order of protection, part of her plea deal. So, Heather Kennedy is back in the slammer and this time they want to keep her there. That's Heather's latest mug shot picture at right.

A former Wantagh high school teacher, already awaiting sentencing for having sex with a 16-year-old student, was charged Tuesday with having another five trysts with the boy since she pleaded guilty to the original charges last month, authorities said.

Heather Kennedy, 25, of Massapequa, was first arrested March26 after the boy, a student of hers at Wantagh High School, confessed to his father that they had sex in his car in the parking lot of Massapequa High School, police said.

"Almost immediately after she walked out of court, she was having contact with the victim by phone and in person," Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice said of Kennedy Tuesday.

. . . the district attorney's office received a tip and an investigation revealed the two had sex five more times after June 12, in violation of the boy's order of protection, Rice said.

According to the boy's testimony to investigators, in the past two months the boy sneaked out to have sex with Kennedy twice in Kennedy's grandparents' Bellmore home, twice in a mutual friend's Wantagh home, and once after Kennedy picked up the boy from the Massapequa train station, Rice said.

"At this point, her crime is very clear," Rice said, adding that "she persisted to prey on him, and that is the outrageous aspect of this."
