Headline of the Year: NY Teacher Accused of Ordering Student Penis Video

Say what? What is going on in our schools these days? We have had plenty of stories of teachers having sex with students, but convincing a kid to take pictures and video of his wiener? No names associated with this story yet, but since it's happening in New York City, it will only be a matter of time before this thing is all over the news. Here's more from NewsDay:

A teacher at a private music school in New York City is charged with persuading an 11-year-old boy to take nude pictures and video of his penis and later touching the student's private part. Queens prosecutors say the 24-year-old teacher has been arraigned on charges of sexual abuse, endangering the welfare of a child and possessing and promoting child pornography.

The guitar and piano teacher faces a maximum seven years in prison if convicted. He's being held on a $25,000 bail. Prosecutors say the teacher offered the boy money in December to take pictures and video of his penis with the teacher's cell phone in the school's restroom.

Mother and Daughter Brawl With Cop at School

Nothing makes you closer to your parents than getting arrested for punching a cop in the face . . . at least, in West Virginia. It all started at Riverside High School with fight in the girls bathroom. And no, the 15-year-old girl who was later arrested was not involved in that fight. She was part of another commotion and "became belligerent and began cussing at one of the teachers." That teacher wisely followed the rules and escorted the young lady to the Principal's office where they called her mother. MISTAKE! Mom--Tina Willams--shows up and instead of disciplining her own kid, she goes into the school looking for the teacher! A cop comes along and escorts mother and daughter outside hoping they'll cool off. The didn't.
The brawling broads tried to get back into the school, so the cop tries to handcuff mom. At that point he was allegedly attacked by both mother and daughter. He was finally able to arrested the pair and haul them off to jail. Merry Christmas!

Middle School Girls Arrested for Brawl on School Bus, Refusing to Talk to Cops

From the "You're Just Making It Worse" Department: 9 middle school girls face expulsion and possibly legal charges after a brawl on a bus. Here's more from the Sun Sentinel:

Nine Congress Middle School students could face suspension or worse after police say they tried to stymie efforts to investigate a fight on a school bus. The trouble began as a middle school fight on the way home from school Tuesday, but turned to chaos as students shouted down others who wanted to cooperate with police, according to a Boynton Beach police report.

Boynton Beach police arrested nine girls, ages 12 to 15, on charges of resisting arrest without violence. The trouble started sometime before 4:30 p.m. on bus No. 0119-C044, according to the police report. Bus driver Winston Gray stopped in the 500 block of West Boynton Beach Boulevard to quell a fight on board. Gray tried to get the unruly kids to sit down, but they refused, according to the report.

When police came, it didn't get much better. An officer tried to investigate the circumstances of the fight, but the unruly students stood up and yelled at others for trying to cooperate, police said. Officers pulled the nine students off the bus to interview them and they refused to give their names, ages or any information.

Teachers Caught Having Sex in Classroom--Twice!--During Staff Awards Ceremony

Okay, I'm the first to admit that I am not a big fan of employee award ceremonies. They always seem to drag on and on, and the people who really deserve recognition never really get it. There, I said it.
But to sneak out in the middle of the event and have sex with someone else's wife? Now THAT'S someone who really hates employee awards ceremonies! And to be caught not once, but twice, in the act: that takes dedication. Here's more from the Guardian News in the UK:

A Sutton college is investigating claims two teachers were caught having sex in a classroom by a student. The Carshalton College teachers were caught in the act after they “sloped off’’ during a staff awards ceremony last Thursday by the student, it is alleged. It is claimed the pair, believed to be married to other people, were then caught a second time in a different room by a teacher.

Principal David Watkins said he ordered two senior members of staff to carry out an investigation after hearing the allegations. But speaking to the Sutton Guardian, a concerned member of staff said the incident was “totally unacceptable’’ and feared it would be “swept under the carpet’’.

The staff member claimed: “It is absolutely inappropriate. These teachers were caught having sexual intercourse by a student and then in another classroom by a staff member. They should know better. “It just infuriates me when we have open evenings or parent teacher nights and we are meant to create a good impression and gain trust, but really these sorts of things are going on."

PTA Official, 44, Caught Bottomless in Car in Elementary School Parking Lot With Boy, 13

UPDATE: A new report by NewsDay identifies the PTA Official as Joan Tuckruskye, 44. According to police, Tuckruskye was caught in the backseat of a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder in a parking lot behind Meadow Elementary on Northern Boulevard with a 13-year-old boy Friday night.
EARLIER REPORT: What is wrong with people these days? You're high ranking official in the local PTA, an organization created to help kids learn and grow, and you get caught in a middle school parking lot kissing a kid who's not old enough to drive? And both of you somehow lost your pants in the process? Holy crap!
Wonder if the kid was older than the car they were in? Anyone seen the police report?

Police say they caught a Long Island PTA official and a 13-year-old boy without their pants in the back seat of a sport utility vehicle behind a school. The 44-year-old parent-teacher association vice president has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child. She's been released without bail. Nassau County police say the Baldwin resident and the boy were naked from the waist down in a parking lot outside Meadow Elementary School on Friday night. They say the woman told them she and the boy were kissing. Investigators say the boy lied and told them he was 18. The arrested woman is a mother of three who's in charge of fundraising at the Baldwin Middle School PTA.

Cops Taser Drunk Man Who Showed Up at Police Station at 9 am, Wants to Become Informant

This story meets the classic definition of "alcohol may have been involved." And here's a piece of advice: If you want to become a police informant, probably best not to do it while you're drunk, demanding, and in the middle of a police station where officers are likely to have easy access to things like a Taser. Here's more from the Evansville Courier:

A 33-year-old Henderson County man was jailed Wednesday morning after allegedly coming to the sheriff's office drunk. Steven A. Blevins was charged with alcohol intoxication, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Henderson Sheriff's Lt. Keith Berry said Blevins came to the sheriff's office around 9 a.m. Wednesday wanting to be an informant of sorts.

"His words were, 'I came in to tell on everybody. I'm tired of what's going on in this town,'" Berry said. Blevins was obviously intoxicated, Berry said, so he was placed under arrest. At that point, officials said, Blevins "became resistive, dropped to the floor and refused to move." Sheriff's personnel then utilized a taser to get Blevins to comply with commands -- which he did, a press release said.

Middle School Students Suspended for Classroom Sex - Glades Middle School

Details are sketching on this one, but aren't they always for these kinds of incidents? Not at Glades Middle School in Florida, where three 7th grade students have been suspended for some classroom activity that went beyond the typical "sex ed" curriculum. It also sounds like some teachers got in trouble (You mean, they should have prevented the teens in the classroom from having sex on school grounds. Is this what the world is coming to?)

A police report says three girls at the middle school were victims of some kind of sexual battery, but school officials are telling a different story. Sexual relations allegedly happened inside two classrooms at Glades Middle School. Three students are accused of inappropriate sexual activity in the class—as shock to many kids who go to school there.

Two 7th grade boys and a girl from Glades are on suspension. Police are not giving specifics as to what happened. They do say the three who have been suspended are "suspects" and three 12-year old girls are "victims." They say one girl came forward saying this sexual activity happened between September and December. Police say she's a victim of sexual performances while in class.

More than that, police call it sexual battery. School officials, however, don't know exactly what they're dealing with yet. They're trying to figure out if the "so-called victims" were coerced or pressured but say no one was raped.

New Hampshire Judge: Boy's "Raging Hormones" at Fault for Sex With Older Woman

While not completely absolving Robin Mowery, 38, of Nashua, New Hampshire of any wrongdoing for having sex (at least four times) three years ago with a boy who was then just 15, Hillsborough County Superior Court Judge Robert Lynn handed down a lighter sentence than the prosecution had asked for, mostly because he believed that the "victim" in the case had a nasty case of "raging hormones" that were, in this case, at least partially responsible for Mowery having sex with the boy who was a friend of her daughter's.
Claimed Judge Lynn, "Like it or not, an underage boy having sex with an older-aged girl is viewed differently than the other way around. Young men have raging hormones. It doesn't make him a bad person." So, Judge Lynn, are you saying that if an adult male comes before you, accused of having sex with a hot, hormone enraged 14-year-old girl, that you'll let him off easy as well? And exactly how to we measure these "raging hormones" . . . for legal purposes? Just askin'.
On the plus side, the judge called BS on Mowery's claims that she was raped at knifepoint (four times?) or that the teen claimed he would kill her daugther if she didn't have sex with him. Here's more the Union Leader - the comments at the bottom are priceless!-

Robin Mowery of Nashua was convicted in June of four counts of felonious sexual assault and two counts of sexual assault involving a friend of her teenage daughter. Mowery was 35 at the time; the boy was 15.

Prosecutors wanted her to serve 8 1/2 to 21 years behind bars, but Hillsborough County Superior Court Judge Robert Lynn handed down a lesser sentence of two to four years. She will receive credit for 180 days already served.

"Like it or not, an underage boy having sex with an older-aged girl is viewed differently than the other way around," Lynn said at the sentencing hearing.

Lynn said he weighed the extent of the teen's victimization against how aggressively the boy pursued Mowery.

"Young men have raging hormones. It doesn't make him a bad person," said Lynn, who also noted that the teen also tried to use the relationship as a "bargaining chip" to escape penalty for crimes committed as a juvenile.

Lynn also chastised Mowery for falsely testifying that the teen forced her to have sex at knifepoint. She also claimed he threatened to rape and kill her daughter if she spoke about their affair.

"That was complete baloney," the judge said.

Teacher Sex Scandal Update: Woman Allegedly Asked Teen to Burn Bed Sheet, Used Google to Search for "Sex Laws Between Teachers and Students Under 18"

We've done stories on Michigan teacher Kelly Abdo, 27, a former Monroe High School teacher charged with indecent exposure after being accused of having sex with a male high school student, 18, in a parked vehicle in the past, but there's some new information we thought you might find interesting. Abdo made her first court appearance this week and her trial is schedule for February 19. According to cops, Abdo is now under investigation for ANOTHER incident with a different boy, 17. In that case she allegedly asked the kid to destroy bedding in his home (he didn't and later cops found her, uh, DNA on the sheets) and also used her home computer to search for the terms such as, "DNA evidence and how to remove it from crime scenes and clothing," and "sex laws between teachers and students under 18 in Michigan." If those things are smoking guns, I don't know what is. Then again, maybe she had just seen a CSI: Detroit episode about an older female teacher having sex with an underage boy and just wanted to confirm their analysis of the evidence. The charge stems from an incident in mid-May outside a house party on Riverview Avenue. Two high school boys who attended the party told sheriff investigators they saw Ms. Abdo and an 18-year-old student having intercourse in the teenager's parked car on the public roadway. According to police reports, the student subsequently admitted to having sex with the teacher in the car as well as other times, including at the teenager's home.
The 18-year-old told investigators Ms. Abdo later contacted him and asked him to destroy bedding in the home, reports said. Authorities eventually obtained the teacher's DNA on bedding taken from the home, the reports said. Authorities searched the Luna Pier home of Ms. Abdo in June, seized the former teacher's computer, and analyzed the hardware on the device. According to police reports, the computer was used to search the Internet for information on "DNA evidence and how to remove it from crime scenes and clothing." Searches also were conducted on the following topics: "sex laws between teachers and students under 18 in Michigan," "DNA forensic evidence," "registered sex offender," "sex offender laws," "subpoenaing text message records," and "how long text messages are stored."
