As if things we're bad enough already, Jennifer "Anything But" Bland has been arrested--since this initial report--on additional charges as even more underage boys from Durand High School in Durand, Illinois bringing the total number of counts against her to 19!A Durand Spanish teacher spends the day out of the classroom and instead in jail. Police accuse her of having inappropriate contact with four students. Jennifer Bland, 23, faces 6 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. Prosecutors say Bland had sexual contact with four male students between the ages of 14 and 17. The first incident allegedly happened last spring; the others in September and October.

Jennifer is 23 and probably is about 17 in her mind as far as sex is concerned. I mean her teen age homones are still in her system. I think they aught to shake her up real good to teach her a lesson, no jail. And no sex offender record because she's not a predator. But if I know the State, there is some money and power to squeeze out of this.

I believe the previous posters are as sick as the perverted, disgusting teacher. Lets blame her inappropriate behavior on the children and her hormones. Anyone who finds children sexually appealing obviously are sick in the head...POINT BLANK!!! An adult is not suppose to touch any child, consented or not. You better book a cell next to her, if you find her behavior appropriate!! You disgust me!!
Seventeen is not a child. You seem to be unwise and have little insight into human sexuality. I do not believe she was acting appropriatley. Your reading comprehension is lacking also.
i agree, in no way should that have even came close to happening. going into teaching it is made very clear that there is a line you most certainly can not cross. and it was crossed here! 17 is the age for "consent" in illinois, not the age of an adult and if these kids are saying they didnt agree to it, it is against the law no question about it.
haha, i went to school there she was my teacher and she deserved what she got!
