Ever ring a neighbors doorbell and run just to annoy them? Better think twice about that if you live in this lady's neighborhood! She's packing heat and not afraid to use it.
A Long Island mom was so fed up with someone constantly ringing her doorbell and running away that she grabbed her pink 9mm pistol, bolted outside, and fired off a round before holding a neighborhood teen at gunpoint until police arrived.
“I shot that gun yesterday for the first time. I felt like I had balls,” former Bronx prosecutor Bernadette Greenwald, 37, boasted to cops not long after the childish game of “ding-dong ditch” caused her to snap.
She initially told cops that the neighborhood teen rang the bell twice, and on the third time threatened to rape her and kill her children.
But cops said the teen had nothing to do with the prank — he wasn’t charged — and the young man’s mother insisted he was walking home from a friend’s house after watching the Giants game and drinking beer.
Greenwald’s statements to cops later changed. Greenwald, who served as an ADA from 1989 to 1994 before resigning, was charged with second-degree menacing, reckless endangerment and unlawful use of a weapon. She was released without bail after her arraignment on Monday.
