UPDATE: There is now word that teacher Nicole DuFault was caught on video with one of the victims. According to the New York Post:
Prosecutors said DuFault, who was axed from her job as a language-arts teacher, was caught on tape performing oral sex on one of her victims while another teenage boy was nearby.
EARLIER: It used to be that female teachers would be lucky to get away with having an inappropriate relationship with one underage boy. Maybe two, if she was smart about it and a little lucky. But six? All between the ages of 14-15 over the span of only 18 months or so? That takes some planning and, we might add, a lot of energy.
In this case we have Nicole DuFault, 35, a language arts teacher at Columbia High School (NJ) and mother of two young sons, who stands accused of engaging in sexual activity with all six boys on multiple occasions between 2013 and 2014, with some of the sex acts occurring on school property and others in her car.
Here’s more on the story from NewJersey.com:
Five underaged students were identified in DuFault’s charges at the time of her Sept. 17 arrest.
By the time the case was presented to the grand jury, a sixth victim was identified. All of the boys were between 14- and 15-years-old at the time of the incidents.
DuFault has been a language arts teacher at Columbia High School for nine years. Prior to coming to Columbia High School, the divorced mother of two young sons taught at several other public schools in Passaic and Bergen counties.
DuFault remains free on $500,000 bail. She is scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m. Friday, March 6, before Superior Court Judge Michael L. Ravin.
